Tasted by Sean Tay on 4/15/2024 & rated 95 points: Pronounced nose intensity with notes brioche, toast, yeast, red apple. (181 views)
Tasted by r.o.man on 1/3/2024 & rated 93 points: Finally got the opportunity to taste this new wine from Aurelien Laherte. As always with his wines I got hit again right to the pleasure spot. So lively and fresh, spotless purity, masterfully balanced. Delicious. (279 views)
Tasted by grizzlywine on 12/24/2023 & rated 93 points: Excellent again, and notes consistent with my last bottle. Love this producer. (358 views)
Tasted by gkpaoli on 8/8/2023: Slightly smoky, earthy and herbal. Came through a little bitter to me. (425 views)
Tasted by grizzlywine on 6/16/2023 & rated 93 points: Rose gold pour, nice color. Bruleed strawberry, pastry crust, and light floral scent. Broad acidic backbone leads a stoney, dry mouth feel. Ripe berries and blood orange lend an attractive perceived sweetness which falls into umami creaminess on a medium finish. Very good, great qpr. (493 views)
Tasted by ekorn on 4/16/2023: April 2022 disgorgement.

Consumed at a wine dinner. PnP. This bottle was much better than the last one I had -- I think the additional time from disgorgement has allowed the wine to settle into itself a little bit. Red fruited nose that carries through to the palate. The palate is as dry and linear as you might expect from a brut nature, but with a hint of ripe fruit to add some balance, especially as the wine came up from fridge temp. (431 views)
Tasted by adnorthup on 3/8/2023: last bottle I had of this was very disappointing and I assumed was just off. There has been a lot of praise since then, so after a few months, checking back in. Slight pink hue, inviting nose. Thankfully this is more in line with what I hope when buying this wine. Lovely ripe red apple, good texture. A little spice, sweet overripe Pear on the finish matched by good acid keeping the sweetness in check. Glad the last seemed to be a one off, this is delicious. (759 views)
Tasted by grafstrb on 2/25/2023: -- popped and poured --
-- tasted non-blind over a couple hours --
-- dosage: 0 g/L --
-- disgorgement: April 2022 --

NOSE: light and airy aromatics --- light Pinot Noir aromas (blind, I doubt I'd guess any Pinot Meunier in the blend, on aromatics alone).

BODY: light salmon color; light bodied.

TASTE: very light on the palate: minerals and light Pinot fruit; interesting stone fruit facet to the fruit profile, along with flecks of lime and orange blossom; drinks best with just a slight chill, which allows the fruit to fully emerge, which it didn't when colder. Pretty good, and likely a re-buy, but not as impressive as the BdB Brut Nature, in my estimation. (657 views)
Tasted by MAXIMUM SATISFACTION on 2/7/2023 & rated 92 points: Very good and unique for the price. Juicy red fruit and citrus zest balanced with mineral and mustiness. Blind I would have guessed older vintage champagne. (765 views)
Tasted by River Rat on 12/30/2022: This is my first go-round with this wine but I need to get more time with it. This was lovely. A faint tinge of salmon color, a mineral streak ahead of the mousse with wonderful body. Stone fruit with a hint of citrus, it flashes the fruit at your palate and then merges back into it’s mineral lane. Really enjoyed this but had far too little time with it. Relative bargain at $52.99 (865 views)
Tasted by Frank Murray III on 11/28/2022: Opened yesterday. This is the brand new cuvee, I suppose the sibling of the BdB BN, as this is also BN. Disgorged April 2022, this arrived last week and I was eager to see how this would show. A mix of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. It pours with a light peach color, just enough to know there is some tint to it, but it's subtle enough that you have to look. This is very good, with a spine that is present but there is also fruit to wrap around it. Blood orange, peach flesh, raspberry and fresh lime. Finishes crisp and pure, a little steely but there is still texture here to offset any perceived austerity. I continue to be impressed with how Aurelien Laherte creates these Brut Nature cuvees with such a pleasing presentation. (1086 views)
Tasted by adnorthup on 11/25/2022: First year of this blend of Pinot noir and Meunier, disgorged April 2022 with no dosage. Pours with a slight pink hue. Must be an off bottle, because I don’t get any of the berry that seems to dominate other early notes, but actually a pretty unpleasant note that calls to mind peanut butter of all thinks. Capped and put into the fridge for tomorrow.

Update: the flaw didn’t seem to go away, while the fruit tried to push through, the unpleasant note didn’t go away (703 views)

France - When it comes to wine, France stands alone. No other country can beat it in terms of consistent quality and diversity. And while many of its Region, Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne most obviously, produce wine as rare, as sought-after and nearly as expensive as gold, there are just as many obscurities and values to be had from little known appellations throughout the country. To learn everything there is to know about French wine would take a lifetime. To understand and appreciate French wine, one only has to begin tasting them. Sub-Region:

Champagne - The French region of Champagne (including the cities of Rheims, Épernay, and Aÿ) was the first region in the world to make sparkling wine in any quantity. Today, the name of the region is synonymous with the finest of all sparkling wines, and wine-making traditions of Champagne have become role models for sparkling wine producers, worldwide. Surprisingly, the region of Champagne is now responsible for only one bottle in 12 of all sparkling wine produced. Styles of champagne range in sweetness ranging from an extra brut or brut 0, to the basic brut to demi sec to doux; some houses produce single vintage champagnes and others produce non-vintage (or incorporate wines/grapes of multiple vintages), often to preserve a specific taste; combinations of grape varietals; and colors, including a rosé. There are several sub-appellations, including the Valley of the Marnes river running from Épernay west, Massif de Saint-Thierry north and west of Rheims, Valley of the Ardre, the Mountains of Rheims (between Rheims and Épernay), Côte des Blancs, Côte de Sézanne, and Côte des Bar in the South. Champagne wine only uses three grape varietals (cépages): Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier.
