Tasted by rosuoter on 6/21/2021: PnP. On the nose cool elegant red fruit (strawberry mostly) developing in ashy and earthy tones, pronounced yet enjoyable acidity, nice tannins, medium finish. Burgundian style. (767 views)
Tasted by @sebastienwine on 1/20/2021 & rated 90 points: Took awhile to open up but once it did this was enjoyable. Cherry driven nose and palate with subtle earthy tones. Tannins are up front and sneaky, but well-integrated. High acid balances nicely the red fruits and leaves a long finish.
Not showing much evolution for 2015; I wonder what another few years would do. (840 views)
Tasted by h2o on 11/21/2020: with pork ragu (879 views)
Tasted by JacobRevold on 8/18/2018 & rated 89 points: Delicate smell with red fruits and scents of soil and ashes. The taste is very pleasant. Soft tannins, expressive with fruits but at the same time elegante. Looking forward to the next one I have, and will also try the 2016. (1787 views)
Tasted by acyso on 5/20/2018 & rated 93 points: Sunday blinds (Chicago, IL): Served double blind. Light colour with lovely, crunchy red fruit on the nose. Delicate, pretty, and delicious, with red fruit on the palate as well. It's a very light wine with a hint of strawberry and some minerality -- had me going straight to Burgundy. Everything seemed to align with red Burgundy, in fact, I didn't pick up any volcanic sulphur aromas at all. Nevertheless, this is simply an incredibly delicious wine. I wonder how it'll age...  Tasted by andrei trolldeig on 4/1/2018 & rated 87 points: Clear, filtered from the looks.
Clean, polished, industrial pinot-ish character to start with. A rather boring start leading up to the characteristic volcanic finish.
Nice to taste the volcanic terroir on more neutral background. This is raised on wooden and steel vats, in contrast to the amfora raised Cornelissen (ive only had Contadino). (1779 views)
Tasted by legarejm on 12/28/2017 & rated 89 points: Light ruby color. Unique, earthy, mineral notes. Good acidity. Volcanic terroir shown off. (1787 views)
Tasted by maxima on 11/11/2017 & rated 88 points: Vins qui sort des sentiers battus.
Nez florales et sur la terre.
En bouche, des roses, des cerises et des cerises.
Beaux tannins joufflus avec une finale souple. (2211 views)
Tasted by KSWinegeek on 9/17/2017 & rated 88 points: Lighter in color similar to Pinot. Dried cherry flavors. (1309 views)
Tasted by MattMauldin on 8/25/2017: Society of Wine Educators Conference- Sicily: Past, Present and Future session: Balsamic plum and floral aromas. Attacks with a mineral-iron and red cherry core, fleshy and dense, with bright minerality and firm-fine tannins. Good depth and length throughout. (1460 views)
Tasted by EgilS on 7/2/2017 & rated 86 points: Good, worth buying. Better on day two so needs some air. (1125 views)
Tasted by rjonwine@gmail.com on 4/27/2017 & rated 88 points: Medium ruby color; savory, dried red berry, charcoal, balsamic nose; tasty, savory, dried red berry, charcoal, balsamic palate with good balancing acidity; medium-plus finish (568 views)
Tasted by vassnesen on 4/16/2017 & rated 87 points: Light red. Looks like a Pinot. Modest nose of cherries with some smoke. Soft entrance, sour cherry and minerals(stone-dust or concrete). Some tightness in an finish with decent lenght. 100% nerello mascalese. (968 views)
Tasted by NickBurwood on 2/7/2017 & rated 85 points: Wine dinner with friends at Barbaracca, Godalming. Limited note taking.
Broad, slightly furry black berry fruit. Youthful, slightly grippy dry core. Gluggable, sound, but not particularly memorable. Might better integrate and improve a point with an extra year but don't hold your breath!
For drinking youngish. (973 views)
Tasted by Marcolivierguerin on 1/8/2017 & rated 84 points: Etna rosso peu complexe très sur le fruit, pas le meilleur (882 views)
