Translucent ruby color. This has a modestly expressive nose of red fruit, with a meaty and peppery aroma not dissimilar to what one often finds in Zinfandel. The palate is fairly thin, without much heft, and only a vaguely stony nuance to impart any character. There's not sufficient acidity to indicate that this would pair especially well with food. Inoffensive overall, though I'd be unlikely to revisit this one voluntarily. (1471 views)
