Underwhelming. Retailers are hyping Galloni's 91 rating for a $15 wine. Not being familiar with the varietal Aglianico and interesting comments in Galloni's review made this worth trying. However, any distinctive fruit on the palate has disappeared. The cork was tight, so can't really attribute the lack of fruit to oxidization. Nicely weighted and pleasant enough, but given the amazing values Spain is offering in tasty, even a bit complex wines for the same money, I would not seek this out. Have another bottle, so hoping to be more impressed next time. (3952 views) | ||||
