An oenophile friend shared this very special bottle from his cellar last night. This wine is just a baby and time didn't allow for a proper decant. Even with the age and o2 disadvantages, this wine displayed tremendous promise. Dark and dense, elegant and palate coating, this Cabernet Franc also had a deft balance of acidity and tannins for an enjoyable finish. A couple more years in the bottle and time in the decanter should present an exceptional wine. 93+ now with great potential. (1298 views)

Double decanted and consumed at a local restaurant. Unfortunately drank this wine alongside a 2009 Delectus Cabernet Franc. The Delectus is full bodied, richer and contains more aggressive tannins. B Wise pales in comparison but is a decent wine in its own right but much lighter in style. (566 views)

Another stunning wine from Gerhard Reisacher. This is a perfectly balanced wine that both my wife and I can enjoy together (an unusual occurrence). Impeccable fruit followed by firming tannins on the back end. None of that abundance of acidity that I detest. This wine is in its sweet spot. No decanting required. Update 07/21/2018: finding some bottle variation and may require 2 hours in a decanter. (1332 views)

Decanted and this wine started to show age immediately. It's hard to believe that a wine harvested a little of 7 years ago could go belly up this quickly. Purchased directly from the vintner and stored in a temperature and humidity controlled wine cellar. This was the second of two bottles consumed with the same result. (1028 views)
