It looks like this wine is drinking well right now. The flavors and balance are wonderful. Details are very similar to my August tasting note. Tannin was tight and gripping today. (146 views)

Dark, inky wine with a lot of blue color in it. The fruit is blended in flavor with mostly dark fruits that are fresh and flavorful. The mouth is full and fruity and it finishes well with fruit and heavy fine tannins (121 views)

This bottle was an example of wonderful balance: First a front with black berry, purple plum, a bit of cherry, and smoke that blends the separate flavors together in layers that sing as you taste it. The middle opens up with additional fruit and berry flavors, along with some minerality and chocolate as the tannin starts to come in. The finish is full of various fruit folded up with a sweet, dry tannin that covers the palate (202 views)

Mild thin front progressing smoothly to a medium very smooth, tasty and slightly tart citrus. Middle blends smoothly to am long citrus finish (165 views)

PnP. Dark and brooding from beginning to end. Dark cocoa dark fruits with a tight dry tannin that hangs on forever. Drank in about an hour, so it never got much of a chance to open up. (294 views)

The wine starts out heavy and brooding, even with decanting for an hour, but let it sit in your glass as you and sip, and you will get an explosion of dark black and blue fruits with a nice slightly gripping tannin. (311 views)

Really good. It should be decanted for at least an hour before drinking. Dark berries early on and chocolate developing later. A touch of oak and fine tannins in the middle and end. (371 views)

Big and fruity, with good structure. Blueberry predominates with sweet dark chocolate. Mouth is full, with long-lasting fruit. This Malbec should age nicely for five or more years. (384 views)

I believe this was a problem bottle. It has a heavy and almost bitter initially. It had some chocolate notes, but never really developed a Cab character. I drank the bottle over about 5 days, and it slowly got better, but still was unsatisfactory. COOKED? 80 (427 views)

I consider this one of the best Krug Values. Inky black-blue with blueberry and blackberry as primary flavors. A touch of anise is hidden and the dry sweet tannin finish is balanced by the fruitiness. Finish is great but the front and middle show the most. This wine must be aerated to enjoy the most. This will be a fine wine for 15+ more years. (1270 views)
