Bath salts, white flowers, citrus, apple. Excellent length. Pretty. Relatively soft. Better tasted at cellar / wine fridge temp than kitchen fridge temp, as with any decent Riesling. This one's better than decent! (443 views)

Night one: Wonderfully ripe fruit. Currants, olive, cigar box, bay leaf. Quality evident now but potentially a lot more rewarding and enjoyable in 5-10+ years. Score for now. Night three: One big glass left in bottle, more impressive than night one, especially length and quality of tannins. Bumped up a point to 93. (949 views)

Blue, black, red fruits, a touch jubey. Spice. Graphite pencil. Fine talc like tannin, talc like fineness but like a steel spider web in their spread. SO good to drink. Brings to mind the 2009 Clonakilla Hilltops, one of my favourites. Perhaps not coincidental similarity given that Mr Ravensworth plays a huge part in making the Hilltops. (519 views)

Lime, pith, steel & slate. A little peach. Palm sugar? Maybe. I could drink this by the pint, wonderful, and as others have said, unusually so for a young Clonakilla Riesling. (652 views)

Cherry, sour cherry, pip, almond, a little marzipan. Powdery tannin. Impressive length. Not really sure how to score this as don't know the grape, but an excellent drink, and length alone says 90. Winery might be in McLaren Vale but grapes are from Heathcote. (666 views)

Violets, black currants, some red, shaved lead pencil, chocolate, leafiness. Length and balance both excellent. Classic Cabernet without being an overly Margaret River Cabernet, the typical MR dusty Aussie bush on the nose is a long way down in the mix. Stupendous value, scored without regard to the low price, fabulous wine. One glass worth left in bottle overnight on bench, tasted even better second day. Tempted to go 94. (2159 views)

Excellent MR Chardonnay. Stone fruits, citrus, grilled nits. struck match, French oak in support. Took 3 hours or so to open up and creep up to 90, so a bit on the young side for my tastes, will probably improve for another few years. (532 views)
