Good, but somewhat disappointing. Not as good as tasting of same vintage in 2014. Probably beyond peak. Weak flavor, thin. Would try other vintages due to previous pleasant experience with this wine, but will drink within 2 to 3 years of release. (3313 views)

This wine is consistently good over the years, but this vintage is a little disappointing. Probably at or beyond peak. Thin taste, not as robust as previous vintages, and not able to stand up to robust food flavors. Not a very good pairing with strong salami or cheeses, better with bratwurst and milder cheeses. Other vintages great with filet mignon. Would still buy this wine other vintages based on previous good experiences (90 plus ratings) with this wine. (1942 views)

Nothing notable. At or beyond prime. Simple, one dimensional, typically muddy flavored Merlot from north shore of Gironde in Bordeaux. Not complementary with various meats and cheeses. Best with sweet foods (e.g Bourbon flavored chicken), and especially sweet dessert (e.g. Angel food cake with chocolate sauce). Not a fan of Merlot, so one reason this wine did not appeal. From Costco as part of 4 Bordeaux box set, as gift. (6034 views)
