Bouteille 4/18. J’avais omis de prendre des notes sur les précédentes mais il me semblait que le vin était désormais abordable. Et bien non. On sent surtout l’acidité, les premiers fruits ont disparus. Pas de trace d’évolution. Au fil de la dégustation le vin s’est un peu ouvert mais si peu. A attendre ou à carafer au moins 4 heures. Sunday night free corkage night (La Trompette): Oh wow. Broad shouldered, this is a bit of a bruiser, but still that gorgeous savoury character and some cherry stone / parma violets at the finish. Of all of the bottles opened this is the one I finished. (80 views)

This bottle was absolutely perfect. What an amazing expression of Pinot Noir. The fruit had not faded in the slightest after nearly 30 years in the bottle. Acidity was excellent. Just really, really great. Probably at peak, but has more time for sure. (53 views)

After a four hour decant, the red fruit emerged to the forefront. Underbrush, mineral notes and peat moss accompany the somewhat muted red fruit to deliver a classic burgundy. Many years of great drinking in its future. Great juice. (329 views)

Great PQR. Beautiful aromas of candied cherry, Christmas spices, green undertones, slate, wet leaves. Very balanced in the mouth, with acidity, tannins, and body becoming well integrated and good fruit weight. Definitively a pleaser, with some decent length. Lacking perhaps complexity and wow factor, but good example of the vintage still priced ok. It will evolve further. (24 views)
