Epaulée for 3 hours, mainly dark red fruit, some soil and the grainy Chambolle minerality. Tannins and acidity well integrated. The wine is in perfect harmony and confirms that the 2012 red Côtes de Nuits have entered in their prime drinking window. (518 views)

Tart red and black fruit, medium tannic grip and juicy acid, all in balance. Graceful and delicious, this was the quiet but compelling voice amid a clamor of other bottles that got my attention

My good lord was this wine amazing. Makes you wish that this producer also owns all of Vogues plots... Discrete but beguiling nose with violets, rose petals, sweet spices, cranberries. The palate is also sublime. Still young but the quality of the tannis that buffer the fruit here are first class and well measured. A wonderful wine, alas the market also knows, given the recent price increases of MG. Decant or better wait till 2022. 95+ (3700 views)

Pop and poured-Tart at first and a little tight, but with decanting and air it mellowed out and opened up with welcome dark fruits. This would benefit with more cellar time till 2022 or so. (2644 views)

Day Two in Burgundy: Ponsot, JJ Confuron, Vogue, Mugneret-Gibourg (Cote d'Or): Barrel tasting at domaine. Slightly floral start with all red fruit aromas. Big fruit, subtle spice flavors. Very elegant, mineral driven with sensational mouth feel. This tasting won't necessarily 100% reflect the final assemblage due to varied age of oak barrels. (6875 views)
