Tasted triple blind. Distinguished nose with aged balsamic, ink, and mashed cherries. Saturating palate, notes of balsamic and fresh lemonade that intensify on the finish. I rarely say this, but the acidity is actually a little out of hand here. I'm in Italy here, likely Tuscany. (329 views)

Indigo inky color, but no sign of it’s age (as in amber hue). Must say, not getting a lot on the nose. Some dry black fruit and maybe some spice. But what a mouthful! Jammy again with black fruits. A little pepper. I’ve seen some comments noting a sense of reduction and I’d have to agree. Great lasting pleasant finish. Really a enjoying this. (397 views)

For whatever reason, I get a fair amount of reduction in this vintage and this bottle started that way but then the reduction blew off fairly quickly. A very intense and ripe wine with great succulent acidity and delicious sharp cherry fruit along with notes of violet spice and silty minerals. The finish is gorgeous with a classic Italian bite and real complexity with an incredible array of spices. Youthful and in need of further bottle age to reach peak. 93+ (772 views)

This is a very high-toned vintage of Granato with firm acidity and a bit of reduction still apparent. If you can see past that, the wine underneath is beautifully expressive of this unique grape and terroir with lovely flavors of black cherry and smoky underbrush. Succulent and juicy and still quite youthful with a taut, grippy finish. The material is here for a great evolution but it needs more time. 91+ (1553 views)

Very concentrated, earthy, spicy wine, with saturated red fruit at its peak. Sour and black cherry, strongly tart cranberry, cassis, plum, Goudron, and clover. Aha, a good bottle of this after 3 misses. Lean and taut with succulent wild cherry fruit and lots of electric acidity. Very lively with a taut finish and that great mineral/spice thing that this unique winery produces. So good with pizza as it cuts right through the tomato sauce and fixings. Loved it. Acidity has calmed down a bit. Tannins too. Nice mouthfeel now, a bit more silky. Full-bodied, nice red berry fruit. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable bottle which was done way too fast. Great pairing with beef tenderloin as it is powerful but not overbearing. (1935 views)

I love the juicy, tart fruit bombs such as this. Nose is red fruit, mostly bright cherry, and a little potting soil as it opens in the glass.
Flavors of fresh red raspberry, tart cherry, ripe strawberry, and Ocean Spray cranberry cocktail. Cherry juice and faint coffee grounds on the mouthwatering finish.

After decanting for an hour+ the tartness toned down but the wine still pops and more dried herb elements emerged: tarragon, oregano. (1541 views)

Bright, med (+) to deep ruby with a purple hue. Old vine Teroldego from the Campo Rotaliano cru. Clean, med (+), youthful aromas of ripe pomegranate, cranberry, tart blackberries, currant, fresh field herbs, and wet stone. Just a suspicion of oak spice from 15 months in tonneaux. Dry, with med (+) acidity, med alcohol (13%) and med to med (+), silky tannins. The palate is consistent with the nose. Med body, med (+) to pronounced flavor intensity and length. Very balanced, it manages to be both powerful and ethereal. Showing remarkably little sign of aging. A real testament to Elisabetta Foradori's wine-making skills. (1350 views)
