2017 Saviah Cellars Syrah Lewis Vineyard (USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Yakima Valley) 11/12/2023caroleandjay95

My first of these. 45 min decant.
V - Clear, deep purple, minimal meniscus with high viscosity.
N - Complex, with balanced fruit and savory aromas. Fruit is Raspberry and black fruit. Currant, plum, blackberry. Smoked meats, bramble, tobacco and a bit of leather.
P - A bit more fruit forward - more plum and raspberry. More bramble and tobacco early, smoked meats and olive later.
S - Dry, full bodied, medium acidity, fine/med tannins, Long finish with med+ complexity.

Really enjoyed this. I had a taste previously at the winery, but was pleasantly surprised with the complexity and power of this wine. (71 views)
