| 2009 A Coroa Godello Valdeorras Blanco (Spain, Galicia, Valdeorras) | 3/11/2013 | pjaines | |
Lovely stuff packed with character and something very different - waxed lemons, beeswax and white flowers - rich body with a honeyed colour. Then a dash of citrus and freshness. Good balance - works well with stronger flavoured fish. Very good. (2543 views) $ FIND THIS WINE on WINE-SEARCHER.COM $ |

I totally agree with Mike Kopanski's notes. Fresh, tropical. Like a cross between Riesling and Chardonnay while retaining albarino-like characteristics. Strong, lingering finish. Paired with a shrimp and chicken dish. (3552 views) $ FIND THIS WINE on WINE-SEARCHER.COM $ |

My first Godello, this was refreshingly complete and balanced. The nose is a little shy, but the first taste on the palate showed a viscosity almost in the in the same league as a Riesling or Chardonnay. Some tropical fruit like lemon, tangerine, grapefruit, also a touch of guava, on the nose which transfers seamlessly to the palate. Medium acid, just slightly malic. Fresh and easy drinking, this can stand alone or accompany food. I especially like the neutral but long fruity finsh. (3923 views) $ FIND THIS WINE on WINE-SEARCHER.COM $ |
