Very nice wine. A little sweet or fruity, kind of hard to tell for sure but because of the age, I'm leaning towards a little sweet. Minor petrol notes at this stage, which I like a lot. Slight tart finish, meyer lemon notes and well balanced. Overall aging very nicely. Happy to say I have more in the cellar. (30 views) | ||||

Tried it again at McGregor. We didn't know a lot about this wine early on. It is now a much different wine. We decanted it for about an hour. Deep dark fruits cherries, cranberry nice firm tannins. Tannins have softened a lot since we last drank it in 2015. Finish is smooth and the wine is much more balanced. Finish starts out a little sharp but smooths out nicely. These wines seem to age well. Probably one of the best wines we have made albeit not from our grapes. These grapes were bought from Thomas Allen Vineyards in Lodi. They display bright fruit, soft tannins and an ultra smooth finish. Notes on the nose are dark sweet cherry, raspberry, light leather. On the palate you get bright cherry notes with a good 1 minute plus finish of cranberry notes. It has been tasting great for a number of years now so if you have any in your cellar, I'd pull one out to try. I think you will enjoy it. (40 views) | ||||

Still enjoying this wine. Most of the early fruit is now gone as expected, however it has developed a very nice rich dark fruits with a nice lingering finish. Might be a little hotter feeling now but not overpowering to me. Tobacco, leather and other earthy notes are very prominent. (64 views) | ||||

Still has beautiful dark cherry notes that it had in the beginning. Extremely soft tannins and beautiful balance. The finish is long and smooth, almost 2 minutes. I would recommend that if you have any, enjoy it now. I cannot imagine it getting better. (138 views) | ||||
