Tasted by golfhawk on 1/9/2023 & rated 89 points: Big rich Zin blend that needs food. Well-made and pretty unique. (433 views)

Tasted by PetWines on 1/13/2021 & rated 89 points: Easy drinking, fruit forward Blend of Zin, Petite Sirah and Caribbean. Nice tannins and earth notes are well balanced with a mild nose. (1613 views)
Tasted by ralaspech on 12/25/2020 & rated 90 points: 35% zinfandel, 35% petite sirah, 30% carignane. Quite closed and tannic when opened. Opened up nicely with just a 30-60 minute decant--the tannins relaxed and it developed a velvety mouthfeel. (1254 views)
Tasted by PetWines on 12/14/2020 & rated 91 points: Nice Zin Blend with deep fruit and earth tones that provide a depth of flavor with a full mouth feel. Will pair well with spicier meat and cheese dishes. A FAVORITE. (1340 views)
Tasted by TheRealBVaughn on 11/26/2020 & rated 81 points: Too spicy for jackie (1266 views)
Tasted by Terramare on 6/25/2020 & rated 93 points: This is a beautiful wine - the mix of fruit is very distinctive. The tannins in this particular bottle are fairly strong. I think the current community end-date of 2024 is much too soon - suggesting 2028. (1616 views)
Tasted by Shari L on 4/21/2020 & rated 91 points: Mmm. Was just looking for a nice glass of red to enjoy with the cooler weather and hit the jackpot. Notes of blackberry, cherry, and tobacco flirt with the tongue. Soft tannins, with a very smooth finish. Will be interesting to see how it develops over the next 20 minutes or so.
The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are slow. It smells like vanilla, blackberry and tobacco. It tastes like blackberry and blueberry.
The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle.
The body is medium. The wine finishes medium. (991 views)
Tasted by Jay_R on 2/2/2020 & rated 89 points: opens with enticing aromas of black fruits and spicy plum. The wine is plush and soft on the palate, with notes of blueberry jam and toasted spices that linger with a long finish. (1132 views)

Seghesio Family Vineyards

Producer website
Begun in 1895 by our grandfather, Edoardo Seghesio. Seghesio Family Vineyards is a collection of estate vineyards in Sonoma County hand-farmed by our family for four generations.

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
