| Tasted by soyhead on 3/21/2023: Yes ladies and gentlemen , absolutely fleeced for this bottle at the Houston airport. Plain sight highway robbery and it was I who pulled the trigger so no one else to blame. Wine showing generous fruit and ample acidity. A simple but nice (albeit pricey) quaff with airport pizza. | Tasted by bluehorseshoe on 3/20/2023 & rated 90 points: Enjoyed this over 3 nights. Last glass was the best. Also drank at a cooler temperature, which I preferred. One of the better Chianti Reserva’s I’ve had. Good value at less than $20. Cherry, leather and sandalwood notes. Great with pork chops! (790 views) |
| Tasted by ABOVETHEINFLUENCE on 3/7/2023: finding warm fruit and a rounder texture than expected. i never expect much from this label but it exceeds my expectations... thicker but still bright ...made it through a glass hmmm..maybes something off..?...
About 3 days later I have most of the bottle remaining...i actually brought the entire bottle down to freezing temp causing some ice to form then removed bottle...now its filled with chocolate and red fruit...really tasty sangiovese now...great texture almost velvety now...tastes cleaner too now that I brought it back from freezing temps...🥶 (912 views) |

| Tasted by R2-D2 on 12/21/2022 & rated 84 points: No actual recorded notes, but I found it quite simple with the fruit and lack of noticeable oak or tertiary notes. Even the acid was lower than expected—a disappointing effort for a Chianti Riserva and from Banfi. (824 views) |

| Tasted by Ben Christiansen on 10/13/2022: Two years in wood, 90% Sangiovese, with a touch of Cab and Caniolo. Savory, with a touch more fruit. But low fruited at that. Classic, if a bit turgid, simple. (843 views) |
| Tasted by Dobrie10 on 9/16/2022 & rated 88 points: Was nervous about this, as the cork was in terrible shape and crumbled under a basic wine opener. Not a good sign for a 2018 CCR…
But, surprisingly, this wine is in good shape. Not overly complex, but a quality drinker. Cherry, cranberry (though not tart) and vanilla on the nose, well integrated bright fruit. Long finish with resolved tannins. Overall, a nice daily drinker.

| Tasted by xyc on 6/4/2022 & rated 89 points: Comparable to the 2017, ruby hue, warm medium bodied entry showing well aged rich fruit, attractive spice and delicate citrus. Balance of citrusy spice and firm mellow fruit with no detracting wood nor tannin offers an enjoyable wine of adequate complexity for any meal or event. (681 views) |
