| Community Tasting Notes (average 87.7 pts. and median of 88 pts. in 45 notes) - hiding notes with no text | | Tasted by tpk35 on 7/7/2023: Used for cooking (378 views) | | Tasted by johnrm on 4/1/2023 & rated 86 points: A last bottle, kept for 2 more years after the last one. A bit better than before (and better with food) but very ordinary and anonymous - lacking any real interest. My wife thought more of it hence 86. (606 views) | | Tasted by RonT on 5/4/2022 & rated 87 points: I like good value priced wines and this is one. Light notes of orange, pear, grapefruit. Easy and pleasing on a spring/summer day. (1343 views) | | Tasted by gfwetzel on 4/24/2022 & rated 89 points: Very good value! The nose has citrus, apple, and a hint of pineapple. The palate follows the nose. An excellent table wine (lacks some of the complexity of its pricier brethren) but solid. Unoaked (my preferred style). Medium-light body. 13% ABV. (1268 views) | | Tasted by jesi1882@gmail.com on 1/8/2022 & rated 82 points: Wet sidewalk chalk flint minerals unripe apple and melon
Thick slow legs
Yellow with green tones
Dry, low acidity but nice medium body
Flint really picks up after a little
Bitter second day 3.2 (1984 views) | | Tasted by johnrm on 12/30/2021 & rated 85 points: I have nothing to add to my earlier note, I’m afraid. I gave it time to warm and open (and it did, just a bit) but I still find this ordinary, bland, mass-market stuff. Slightly better next day (overnight in fridge) but I won’t buy more. (1747 views) | | Tasted by rjonwine@gmail.com on 12/13/2021 & rated 90 points: Light lemon yellow color; lemon gelee, lemon cream, light vanilla nose; tasty, poised, lemon cream, lemon gelee palate with good balancing acidity; medium-plus finish (13% alcohol; Diam 5 cork) 90+ points (1057 views) | | Tasted by Tobinski on 10/23/2021: A little funk on the nose, but nevertheless enjoyable with chicken. Sunny and easy going. Good value. (1731 views) | | Tasted by johnrm on 7/1/2021 & rated 86 points: I have tasted this wine over many years and it is normally pretty reliable, despite being an obviously very large volume production. Not so sure this time. Some fragrance on the nose. Citrus on the palate with hints of pear and more ‘tropical’ fruits but a bit flat and bland for me. I think there are Macons at this price point with more character. This is easy drinking and slips down but is really not memorable. A couple of hours after opening and with food (grilled white fish with Jersey potatoes) it improved. My wife liked it. I have raised my score a little. A second bottle a couple of days later was OK but no more than that. Mass-market Macon with limited character to my palate. 86- (1750 views) | | Tasted by oakville72 on 6/15/2021 & rated 89 points: A very clean, oak-free Mâcon with a touch of complexity from the malolactic. Better than I expected. (1663 views) | | Tasted by Dobrie10 on 6/6/2021 & rated 87 points: If the bottle is < $15, I say this is a good option. The taste profile will appeal to those who like unoaked (my preference) or oaked. And to expand on the last part of that statement, this wine does have very muted honey and baked apple; it’s just overall a bit more “fuller body” than most unoaked Chardonnay’s. But this wine is certainly not oaked. Confused? Yeah, me too.
On the palate, there is very nice acidity with green apple, ripe pear, and a nice undertone of honey and baked apple. Again, a bit for everyone to enjoy. Nice and long finish. (1380 views) | | Tasted by brooklynJ&O on 6/6/2021 & rated 85 points: Just fine on night 1.
Odd on night 2. (1370 views) | | Tasted by mahmudn on 4/30/2021 & rated 75 points: Look: Gold, medium body, and translucent. Nose: buttery, pear, satsuma, and berries with mascarpone Taste: dry, medium acidity, satsuma, and banana Finish: Medium finish, grapefruit acidity/bitterness, and lingering mineral aftertaste. (1446 views) | | Tasted by Kvaden58 on 4/27/2021 & rated 89 points: Nice chardonnay. A bit fruit forward but in dry side. Tasted better after sitting and warming up a bit. (1110 views) | | Tasted by mwneil on 4/17/2021 & rated 88 points: Good fruit, tart, acidic but fruit keeps balance, light body, easy drinking, a good value, drank with sautéed flounder, book choy, plaintains, would drink again. (1201 views) | | Tasted by Jerrod33 on 4/1/2021 & rated 87 points: Great citrus and pear nose. Buttery mouthfeel with an essence of dew covered meadow. Great wine for summer poolside or at the beach. Recommend it for an everyday wine to have. (1210 views) | | Tasted by CubFan4Life on 3/18/2021 & rated 88 points: Looking for a good budget unoaked Chardonnay and gave this a shot.
Color - gold Nose - butter, sunflower, hint of green apple Palate - citrus notes Finish - medium
We paired with some barramundi and it was fine. It had a surprising amount of acidity. (1254 views) | | Tasted by Richard123 on 3/8/2021 & rated 90 points: Delicious and good QPR (1266 views) | | Tasted by Stoic Warrior on 2/12/2021 & rated 89 points: A good value, well produced Burgundy. Somewhat sweet, ripe apple on the nose. Quite pleasant on the palette. Round, yes, but a bit thin (wife said "watery", and I agree). Frankly, the finish, which is long and pleasant, is this wine's best feature. I recall that the 2018 of this was marginally better. Bottom line: for the price, this a recommendable Mâconnais. (1246 views) | | Tasted by Charlie N on 2/9/2021 & rated 86 points: Straightforward and uncomplicated but ultimately a fine value and faithful introduction to the Maconnais as far as an idea of balance is concerned.
Mostly reconstituted lemon concentrate/lemonade (the packet powder that would go into a pitcher in summer). A touch of oak. Not much else but nothing off. A bit of flavor for not much money. (1160 views) | | Tasted by PacoWino on 1/9/2021 & rated 91 points: Golden yellow look, slight green tone, very transparent.
Nose is fresh apple, lychee nuts, light floral scent.
Taste is slightly off-dry, light body with refreshing acidity to clear palate, a longer finish than expected. Green apple, lychee nuts, melon, and floral essence with hint of minerality if you look for it.
Would buy again, great value. (1146 views) | | Tasted by cos65 on 1/4/2021: sb Light friendly Macon. Easy soft slightly lactic citrus flavors This is quite easy without getting cloying Great QPR (@ my $11.68 price) YFS (1097 views) | | Tasted by Château de Farmer on 12/20/2020 & rated 87 points: A bit watery but totally acceptable. Harmless and provides some amount of drinking pleasure (refreshment, some citrus flavor). Good value, hard to imagine there is a better option at this price or below. (1135 views) | | Tasted by sdrum on 12/8/2020 & rated 89 points: I've had this wine before from an earlier vintage, and this one seemed to have a lot more body and richness than previous ones which were a little on the thin side. (1058 views) | | Tasted by mwneil on 12/2/2020 & rated 88 points: Decent white, nice fruit, balanced, not complex but tasty, good value, drank with Asian pork chops and veggies, will drink again. 2018 vintage: "marked by a wet spring, a superb summer and a good harvest" 2019 vintage reports 2021: "From a general standpoint, whether for white, rosé or red wines, 2021 is a year marked by quality in the Rhône Valley Vineyards. Burgundy - The province of eastern France, famous for its red wines produced from Pinot Noir and its whites produced from Chardonnay. (Small of amounts of Gamay and Aligoté are still grown, although these have to be labeled differently.) The most famous part of the region is known as the Cote d'Or (the Golden Slope). It is divided into the Cote de Beaune, south of the town of Beaune (famous principally for its whites), and the Cote de Nuits, North of Beaune (home of the most famous reds). In addition, the Cote Chalonnaise and the Maconnais are important wine growing regions, although historically a clear level (or more) below the Cote d'Or. Also included by some are the regions of Chablis and Auxerrois, farther north.

# 2013 Vintage Notes: * "2013 is a vintage that 20 years ago would have been a disaster." - Will Lyons * "low yields and highly variable reds, much better whites." - Bill Nanson * "Virtually all wines were chaptalised, with a bit of sugar added before fermentation to increase the final alcohol level." - Jancis Robinson
# 2014 Vintage Notes: "We have not had such splendid harvest weather for many years. This will ensure high quality (fragrant, classy and succulent are words already being used) across the board, up and down the hierarchy and well as consistently from south to north geographically apart from those vineyards ravaged by the hail at the end of June." - Clive Coates
# 2015 Vintage Notes: "Low yields and warm weather allowed for ample ripeness, small berries and an early harvest. Quality is looking extremely fine, with some people whispering comparisons with the outstanding 2005 vintage. Acid levels in individual wines may be crucial." - Jancis Robinson
# 2017 Vintage Notes: "Chablis suffered greatly from frost in 2017, resulting in very reduced volumes. As ever, the irony seems to be that what remains is very good quality, as it is in the Côte d’Or. Cooler nights across the region have resulted in higher-than-usual acidity, with good conditions throughout the harvest season allowing for ripe, healthy fruit." - Jancis Robinson
# 2018 Vintage Notes: "The most successful region for red Burgundy in 2018 was the Côte de Beaune. The weather was ideal in this area, with just enough sunlight and rain to produce perfectly balanced wines naturally." - Vinfolio
