Tasted by Ben Christiansen on 4/20/2024: Some more purple rounded fruits on the nose. (323 views)
Tasted by Njbern on 7/31/2023 & rated 90 points: Green apple on this is so fresh. A tinge of honey and floral notes at the finish. Very enjoyable. Maybe tad sweet and one not though (1133 views)
Tasted by wiscgrad on 6/17/2023 & rated 94 points: I found this to be really impressive. disgorged 2017. wonderful orchard fruit on the nose and palate. fruit and acid in balance. gone way too fast (1111 views)
Tasted by gparker777 on 6/2/2023 & rated 91 points: Pale straw colour in the glass. Medium bubbles and mild brittle mousse on the pour. Nose of green apples and some tasting brioche and yeast notes. Lovely freshness in the glass and taste of white peach, yeast, brioche and toast with a creamy finish. 6g/l dosage. 100% chardonnay. Disgorged 02/2021. Excellent! (1110 views)
Tasted by aquacongas on 5/1/2023 & rated 90 points: not blind
A bit too sweet, 5g/l. 2016-2018. 90 (1633 views)
Tasted by JuliannaDHS on 2/24/2023 & rated 91 points: Enjoyed with a group of wine snobs but probably not best served with non wine drinkers. Very crisp, moderate effervescence, savory. Some white peach, bit of a apple, and what stood out was white pepper and mango skin (is that a thing??). This seems like it should be paired with food. (1152 views)
Tasted by hooods on 1/31/2023 & rated 90 points: Solid budget champagne, especially if you give it a few years in the cellar. Recommended! (919 views)
Tasted by bestdamncab on 11/10/2022 & rated 86 points: Flatiron Wine & spirits (San Francisco, Ca.): Nose of sliced apple, brioche, stone fruit, and slate, same on the palate, tasty, simple, medium body, OK but below my expectation tonight, and a short finish, slate aftertaste, $50. (1314 views)
Tasted by Vinnut on 9/16/2022 & rated 92 points: Pale gold in color with a very fine & steady perlage. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of citrus notes of lemons/limes & baked apple & a bit of orange peel, with overtones of floral & yeasty/toasty notes, minerals, stony & a hint of roasted hazelnuts. Light bodied with a good concentration of well balanced, smooth textured, crisp & zesty, ripe fruit flavors of apples, citrus notes of lemons/limes with yeasty/toasty, stony & minerals. Lingering dry finish. Drinks quite well at present but should hold for a few more years (1197 views)
Tasted by Richard123 on 9/3/2022: I notice that right now Fourny aren't offering a Brut Blanc de Blanc, just an Extra Brut. Presumably they changed at some point.

Tasted by rocknroller on 5/14/2022 & rated 92 points: Light gold color. Drank 2 glasses over an hour from 375ml. I was totally digging this tonight. Really brisk on the nose, green apple, yeast, butterbrickle, a little herbal. The palate shows apple and white citrus, very crisp, light toast, taut with great energy. Loved it. 92+ to 93pts. (1201 views)
Tasted by Ayanami on 2/26/2022 & rated 90 points: Another lesson in letting this wine warm up from straight out of the fridge. 45 minutes and you will be greeted with honey to compliment the green apple that dominates on opening. (1098 views)
Tasted by jerhardt on 12/13/2021: 2004 base that I believe was disgorged in 2007. A straightforward aged BdB; no fireworks, but perfectly reasonable for the price. (2195 views)
Tasted by sleepyhaus on 11/26/2021: Didn't really pay as much attention to this as I'd have liked with cheese and Apps on Thanksgiving but my thought was that, while pleasant, it was outclassed by the Laherte Nature. (1929 views)
Tasted by rocknroller on 8/21/2021 & rated 90 points: Pale gold color. From 375ml, drank 2 glasses over an hour. Had this at lunch picnic along the St. Louis River today. This was rather austere and dry, very mineral driven, white citrus, green apple, chalk, yeast. (1112 views)
Tasted by Paul S on 8/16/2021 & rated 90 points: Dinner at Summer Pavilion (Summer Pavilion, Ritz Carlton, Singapore): A simple, but yummy champagne to start the night. The nose had a touch of yeast and some toasted bread alongside side fleshy ripe apple notes. The palate was soft and fleshy, but with a nice freshness and elegant mousse to it, opening up in stylish notes of ripe red apples and white peach, leading into a neat, if rather shortish finish just touched with a little bit of mineral. Simple, a touch on the light side, but very enjoyable. (1544 views)
Tasted by abancro on 7/11/2021: WB. - 1 (668 views)
Tasted by Ben Christiansen on 5/5/2021: Crisp and pure, zesty and super tasty. Brilliant and clean and forceful. (2667 views)
Tasted by Bodwigg on 1/29/2021 & rated 90 points: Quite light and a bit austere, but nice apple fruit and freschness. Deg 10/2019. From magnum bottle. Dos. 6 g/L. (1435 views)
Tasted by jnewman77 on 11/20/2020: From magnum - this was delicious and superbly enjoyable. (2898 views)
Tasted by Nels+ on 11/13/2020 & rated 86 points: Weak for champagne (1591 views)
Tasted by JM_MadTown on 6/7/2020 & rated 88 points: A light bodied, easy to drink blanc de blancs. (1637 views)
Tasted by Fatjack61 on 5/22/2020 & rated 84 points: Light refreshing, apple flavour, big bubbles (1387 views)
Tasted by timewithwine on 5/10/2020: Classic Fourny in every way: nutmeg, coconut, brioche, tangerine, and apple. An ample and happy mousse bound in a tight, concentrated bead. A touch of biscuit on the nose and finish. Maybe a tad lean for a blanc de blanc, but satisfying nonetheless. With the remaining 16 Rappahannock oysters hauled in for Mother’s Day that we then shucked, topped with compound butters and then grilled. Recommended. (1475 views)
Tasted by Blauweiss on 5/2/2020 & rated 88 points: Green apples, creamy, toasty, nice aperitif. (1248 views)

France - When it comes to wine, France stands alone. No other country can beat it in terms of consistent quality and diversity. And while many of its Region, Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne most obviously, produce wine as rare, as sought-after and nearly as expensive as gold, there are just as many obscurities and values to be had from little known appellations throughout the country. To learn everything there is to know about French wine would take a lifetime. To understand and appreciate French wine, one only has to begin tasting them. Click for a list of bestselling items from all of France.
Sub-Region:

Champagne - The French region of Champagne (including the cities of Rheims, Épernay, and Aÿ) was the first region in the world to make sparkling wine in any quantity. Today, the name of the region is synonymous with the finest of all sparkling wines, and wine-making traditions of Champagne have become role models for sparkling wine producers, worldwide. Surprisingly, the region of Champagne is now responsible for only one bottle in 12 of all sparkling wine produced. Styles of champagne range in sweetness ranging from an extra brut or brut 0, to the basic brut to demi sec to doux; some houses produce single vintage champagnes and others produce non-vintage (or incorporate wines/grapes of multiple vintages), often to preserve a specific taste; combinations of grape varietals; and colors, including a rosé. There are several sub-appellations, including the Valley of the Marnes river running from Épernay west, Massif de Saint-Thierry north and west of Rheims, Valley of the Ardre, the Mountains of Rheims (between Rheims and Épernay), Côte des Blancs, Côte de Sézanne, and Côte des Bar in the South. Champagne wine only uses three grape varietals (cépages): Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier.
