Tasted by pmarlo on 5/21/2016 & rated 90 points: Wanted to be more complex than it was but still a very decent table wine that would compliment most anything on your plate. Medium dense and a good blend. (1082 views)
Tasted by TannicBeast on 5/7/2016 & rated 89 points: A blend of 40% Mazuelo (Carignan), 40% Grenache and 20% Syrah. This is a remarkably generous and rewarding wine at this price point. Medium (+) to deep ruby, with just a hint of garnet on the rim. The nose is clean, with aromas of kirsch, black plum, red cherry, orange rind, black pepper, dried herbs, vanilla and sweet spices. The palate is dry, but laden with ripe fruit, consistent with the nose. The acidity is medium, the tannins are medium to medium (+) and the alcohol is medium (+) to high at 14.5%. This is a full-bodied and full-flavored wine, with a medium (+) long finish. It is drinking well now and, although not likely to improve with further aging, it has the stuffing to last a few more years. It is better when served on the cooler side, due to the alcohol. (1238 views)
Tasted by Hartman311 on 3/14/2016 & rated 89 points: Smooth, mellow with hints of fruit through a long finish (1288 views)
Tasted by GMan72 on 1/14/2015 & rated 89 points: Big nose, full of flavory smells. Rounded, well balanced; can taste the Grenache but muted a bit with fruit flavors, nice medium finish. Far more complex than would expect at this price point. Accessed via Coravin; will try again later. Drinking just fine, no signs of letting up anytime soon. (1790 views)
Tasted by bu11itt on 2/8/2014 & rated 89 points: Spice on the nose with a smooth, dry almost fruity (light) finish. (1613 views)
Tasted by cono_sur on 11/14/2013 & rated 90 points: Blend of Carinena, Garnacha (Grenache), and Syrah. Medium-high intensity aromas of red currants, cherries and subtle smoke and dried figs. Full-bodied red fruits, licorice, new leather, and sweet vanillan notes. Good structure, with tannins integrating very nicely. Finish is long and smooth. Has the stuffing to age 5 years. (1652 views)
Tasted by Brett and Megan on 9/23/2013 & rated 89 points: aroma - butter and cherries; taste - fig, plum, and raisin; a bit tannic and could enjoyed with food (1460 views)
Tasted by Motz on 5/11/2013 & rated 88 points: Good concentration, interesting blend and taste profile, but a bit marred by excessive oak treatment. Fruity, lacking in minerality. (1695 views)

Vinos de España - Wines of Spain (Instituto Español de Comercio Exterior) | Wikipedia
Wine Map on weinlagen-info

Spain is the third largest wine producing nation in the world, occupying the majority of the Iberian Peninsula with vast diversity in climate, culture, and of course, wine. From inky, dark reds of the [Priorat] to dry, white Finos from Andalusia, Spain can easily boast of elaborating a wide variety of notable styles. Within Spain there are currently 62 demarcated wine regions, of which a handful have gained international recognition: [Rioja], Priorat and [Ribera del Duero]. Yet these regions are only a small sample of the high quality wines Spain produces. Regions such as Cava, Penedes, Somontano, Galicia, Rueda and Jerez are only a few of the numerous regions worthy of exploration throughout Spain. Spain can also lay claim to having the most land under vine in the world, growing up to, by some accounts, 600 indigenous varietals of which Tempranillo is their most well known. Other popular varietals include [Garnacha], Bobal and Monastrell for reds and for whites; the infamous [sic] Palomino Fino grape which is used in the production of sherry wine, Pedro Ximenez in Montilla Morilles, Albarino used in the creation of the bright, effervescent wines of Galicia, and Verdejo in Rueda. - Source: - Catavino.net

Spain is not in the forefront of winemaking for its dessert wines, other than for its sweet wines from Sherry country including the highly revered Olorosos (when sweetened). But apart from Sherry Spain has a range of styles of dessert wines, ranging from the those made from the Pedro Ximenez grape primarily in Jerez and Montilla-Moriles) to luscious, red dessert wines made in the Mediterranean from the Garnacha (Grenache) grape. Some good Moscatels are made in Mallorca, Alicante and Navarre. The northwest corner of Spain, Galicia, with its bitter Atlantic climate, is even making dessert wines, called “Tostadillos” in the village of Ribadivia (similar to France’s “Vin de Paille”). The Canary Islands have made interesting dessert wines for centuries (they are mentioned by Shakespeare, for example) and in recent years the quality of winemaking has been improved and the Canary Islands wines are being better marketed now. The winemaking styles for “Vinos Dulces” are also diverse, from “Late Harvest” (Vendimia Tardía) to “Fortified Wines” (Fermentación Parcial). Based on in-spain.info.
