Tasted by LoireFan on 5/5/2014 & rated 92 points: One of the best orange wines. (1393 views)
Tasted by David Paris (dbp) on 1/11/2014 & rated 92 points: A blend of 25% Vitovska, 25% malvasia, 25% sauvignon, 25% Pinot Gris, which obviously saw some skin contact, as it was a bit orange. Lots of nearly oxidized melon and apple aromas. Lots more exuberance on the palate, showing great acidity and tartness. Lovely soft texture, showing very interesting depth and complexity. Amazing eruption of acid on the finish but also lots of unique notes that make this quite interesting and unique. Wish I spent more time on my note, but I remember this being very compelling.  Tasted by jibby on 6/25/2013 & rated 90 points: Pink-orange color. Slightly hazy. Aroma is mainly grapefruit, quince, rose petals, as well as some savory (meaty) notes. Texture is smooth, medium density, with a hint of tannins. A very drinkable, elegant wine.

This is an "orange wine", a white wine macerated on skins for 15 days. This results in more funky, tannic, gamy notes than most expect. I must say it does not always make a good wine, nor is it suited for all occasions, but when you're seeking something eclectic and exotic, this might be the wine for you. Good with food due to moderate tannins and acidity. (732 views)
