Tasted by Derek Darth Taster on 4/9/2022 & rated 95 points: Late night impromptu session. Drank in Gabriel Standart.
Appearance is clear, medium intensity, yellow lemon colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of briney wet stones minerality, chalky limestone, citrus lemon-lime, intense sweet perfume, hint of roasted nuts. Developed.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of salty saline minerality, wet stones, chalky limestone, citrus lemon-lime, large puff of chalk. Long finish with bit of bitter almond nut.
Very good quality. Lovely perfumed quality to the mineral driven nose. Gentle yet tasty palate. In the zone now. (1276 views)
Tasted by dcwino on 10/30/2021 & rated 93 points: A small gathering at Bryan's (Bryan's place): Adam who brought the wine is relieved that the color is beautiful pale, i.e. not premoxed. Expressive nose displaying youthful mostly yellow citrus fruit with a hint of white, lemon curd, apple, spicy spices and limestone. Very good concentration, nicely layered perfectly ripe yellow fruit, dense but also fresh and precise, bright acidity and mineral, and a long concentrated yellow fruit driven finish. It lacks the fluid texture of the top GCs. It is an excellent 1er cru White Burgundy that can easily improve for a decade or more. Really enjoyable. (1592 views)
Tasted by BradE on 8/29/2021: This is still amazingly fresh, and as Roger's notes indicate it's full off lemon chiffon. Also very good! I'm now more inclined to hold on to some of these, as it could be a 25-40 year wine. (1434 views)
Tasted by jamesabdavis on 8/13/2021: Lovely fresh nose, citrus, peach.
Soft mouthfeel, a bit tropical with pineapple.
Mid-length. Gentle compared to the Coche and PYCM next to it but still delicious.
Coming back to this later (the Coche and PY were finished before we moved on to reds) it was clearly overwhelmed by the company. An absolutely gorgeous wine. (1139 views)
Tasted by Nanda on 4/18/2021 & rated 93 points: Perfectly mature with freshness and oxidation working together in harmony. Bruised orchard fruit and mineral aromas. A gorgeous palate of rich fruit, honey, hardened minerals and fresh cut white florals. Sweet fruit in the long, fresh finish. (1427 views)
Tasted by peternelson on 4/11/2021 & rated 93 points: Really fresh, young, youthfull tasting, lime/lemon notes with a touch of oak; very nice clean pure, bright. Can't believe it's 2007. DD at Crustacean. (789 views)
Tasted by Nanda on 6/27/2020 & rated 92 points: This bottle is fully mature and started to show golden. The palate is rich and dense with nice honey accents to the orchard, citrus and mineral character. Still a dose of freshness. I will drink my last bottle soon. (1078 views)
Tasted by englishman's claret on 5/1/2020 & rated 95 points: I really like this - very assertive, chiseled, and minerally but by no means overly strict. Appealing yuzu, orchard fruit. Really expansive, yuzu lemon finish that bumps this to the next level. (1895 views)
Tasted by bconly on 6/16/2019: Last bottle of this and was probably the best of the bunch. Acidity still very present but now in balance. Great match with black cod and a grilled cabbage dish. (1232 views)
Tasted by BradE on 8/7/2018: Opened mid dinner, and what a pleasant surprise. Fresh, vivacious, utterly gorgeous. This six pack will not last long. (1767 views)
Tasted by bconly on 5/13/2018 & rated 92 points: Worried when the cork showed signs of seepage, but he wine was unharmed. Still a baby really — needed to warm up and air out before the fruit came forward. After an hour this was drinking great. Have had limited success pairing this one with food, but it worked with some sushi here. (2091 views)
Tasted by vassnesen on 7/17/2017 & rated 93 points: Light green-yellow. Open nose of green apple and lemon. Minerals. Still fresh, good body but yet elegant. Long finish with acid pairing amazingly with the beurre blanc to pan fried halibut. Fantastic wine! Still a year or two left. (2172 views)
Tasted by microbox on 5/27/2017 & rated 92 points: still excellent. but losing some of its vibrancy. drink up (2215 views)
Tasted by collin on 3/16/2017: Just delicious. Lemon curd, granny smith apples, and intense minerality (slate / granite) on the nose. That minerality follows through on the palate which finishes with a lovely complexity. As I said- just delicious. I'm sure there are better Pulignys out there, but I'm perfectly happy with this one. (2184 views)
Tasted by Collector1855 on 1/20/2017 & rated 90 points: During a Confrerie 2007 BYO tasting dinner, so just short impressions. No surprise on the overall vintage performance, the 2007 are mostly light and harmless compared to better vintages. TN: Nose of apple, vanilla, touch oxidative which gets confirmed on the palate with was a bit lame. May be not the best bottle, to be revisited. (2497 views)
Tasted by rnellans on 12/8/2016 & rated 93 points: One of my favorite producers. Yellow. Similar notes to last bottle drunk a year ago. Lemon chiffon notes on a very well balance palate with great mid palate depth. Complex flavors. Very good length with plenty of acidity. This wine continued to improve with time in the glass. 93 (1973 views)
Tasted by bconly on 11/19/2016: Delicious but maybe a little too sharp for grilled lobster. (1339 views)
Tasted by jrhaynie on 5/28/2016 & rated 91 points: Great wine, drinking well right now. (2019 views)
Tasted by bconly on 1/22/2016 & rated 93 points: Fantastic by itself. Layers of interest and complexity. Tried with dover sole, uni, etc., but nothing quite worked tonight. Look forward to trying to find the right match with my remaining bottles. (1925 views)
Tasted by AtoZ on 1/22/2016: Great stuff. Acidity was a tough food match. Lots of fennel notes for me. (1865 views)
Tasted by Pknut on 1/4/2016: Just lovely. Very clear palate with a tiny note of vanilla bean. Not sure why I was expecting an oaky wine, but this was very impressive, very clean, very clear, with bright acids and a regal finish. Racines with Ross. (2168 views)
Tasted by rnellans on 12/28/2015 & rated 94 points: Fantastic dinner tonight with two very good wines. The 07 PM Perrieres initially has some matchstick notes that blew off with air. Lovely lemon chiffon notes on a very well balance palate with great mid palate depth. Very good length with plenty of acidity.
The 00 Charmes Chambertin from a producer that I'm not that familiar with, however I was extremely impressed, especially given the vintage. (1805 views)
Tasted by etyc on 12/11/2015: Nosed of cardboard - signs of taint... Faulty, though palate was in a slightly better shape. Would've loved to try an "ok" bottle... (1260 views)
Tasted by AtoZ on 8/9/2015: Drinking great. 2-4 years from peak ? With grilled salmon. (1584 views)
Tasted by HowardNZ on 6/24/2015: Dinner at Ma Cuisine, Beaune: 2007 is Bill's and my favourite, recent white Burgundy vintage, so this wine seemed a good place to start ... Excellent, bright clean colour. A bouquet of baking spices, limes and other citrus juices and powdery nuances, with flinty minerals. A gorgeous wine in the mouth, citric and spicy with some rocky minerality. The excellent acidity provided precision and focus and cut through the garlic butter on my escargots. Good fruit weight and power. A lovely Puligny, drinking well now, that should have many years in front of it ... (2107 views)

Burgundy

Les vins de Bourgogne (Bureau interprofessionnel des vins de Bourgogne) (and in English)

Burgundy - The province of eastern France, famous for its red wines produced from Pinot Noir and its whites produced from Chardonnay. (Small of amounts of Gamay and Aligoté are still grown, although these have to be labeled differently.) The most famous part of the region is known as the Cote d'Or (the Golden Slope). It is divided into the Cote de Beaune, south of the town of Beaune (famous principally for its whites), and the Cote de Nuits, North of Beaune (home of the most famous reds). In addition, the Cote Chalonnaise and the Maconnais are important wine growing regions, although historically a clear level (or more) below the Cote d'Or. Also included by some are the regions of Chablis and Auxerrois, farther north.

# 2013 Vintage Notes:
* "2013 is a vintage that 20 years ago would have been a disaster." - Will Lyons
* "low yields and highly variable reds, much better whites." - Bill Nanson
* "Virtually all wines were chaptalised, with a bit of sugar added before fermentation to increase the final alcohol level." - Jancis Robinson

# 2014 Vintage Notes:
"We have not had such splendid harvest weather for many years. This will ensure high quality (fragrant, classy and succulent are words already being used) across the board, up and down the hierarchy and well as consistently from south to north geographically apart from those vineyards ravaged by the hail at the end of June." - Clive Coates

# 2015 Vintage Notes:
"Low yields and warm weather allowed for ample ripeness, small berries and an early harvest. Quality is looking extremely fine, with some people whispering comparisons with the outstanding 2005 vintage. Acid levels in individual wines may be crucial." - Jancis Robinson

# 2017 Vintage Notes:
"Chablis suffered greatly from frost in 2017, resulting in very reduced volumes. As ever, the irony seems to be that what remains is very good quality, as it is in the Côte d’Or. Cooler nights across the region have resulted in higher-than-usual acidity, with good conditions throughout the harvest season allowing for ripe, healthy fruit." - Jancis Robinson

# 2018 Vintage Notes:
"The most successful region for red Burgundy in 2018 was the Côte de Beaune. The weather was ideal in this area, with just enough sunlight and rain to produce perfectly balanced wines naturally." - Vinfolio
