Tasted by Renton on 7/22/2018: PnP for a Chinese takeout dinner

-color: a golden straw yellow
-Body: by appearance this is a medium plus body, as expected for a kabinett with 11% abv
-aroma:peaches, a little petrol, peach skin, ripe red apple
-Palate: red apple, peach skin and flesh with medium acidity. There’s a ripe apple finish that lingers for a solid 10-15 seconds.

Easy drinking and delicious with Chinese takeout (1006 views)
Tasted by chatters on 7/13/2017: initially it's a bit spritzy and sharp but softens with time in the glass, peachy fruit, medium length, the sweetness offsets the acidity but it is still fresh. Yum with fresh oysters. (1957 views)
Tasted by chatters on 7/30/2016: Cellarhand Icon Tasting 2016 (Prince Sydney, 40 Hansard Street): peach, ripe apple, cream chees, almost buttery notes. Off dry, beautiful fruit core. Long , juicy and fleshy. Finishes a touch short but very pleasant. (2689 views)
Tasted by Fitzl on 6/5/2016 & rated 88 points: Very good and balanced wine (2682 views)
Tasted by brooklynJ&O on 5/20/2016 & rated 89 points: Really nice. touch of sweetness but overall very light. perfect with Thai food. (2533 views)
Tasted by Rieslingfan on 1/5/2016: I do not get many offers for Gunderloch wines, so when I saw this one I jumped at it. The Jean Baptiste Kabinett has been an outstanding bottling and also an outstanding value for a long time, and this rendition was no exception. Brightness, fresh fruit tones and just enough sweetness to kick the wine into the feinherb range made this a great dinner wines, and also a pleasure to sip on its own. The depth/richness of the wine increased a bit with air, but it always maintained an elegance that spoke to the kabinett style.

It's not possible to do better than this for $15. Back up the truck value here. (2422 views)
Tasted by swapdoc on 8/15/2015: A youthful, light riesling, almost translucent in color. Drinks initially with a hints of an Alsace pinot blanc like touch of lychees and olives. On the second day, the wine shows more traditional young riesling aromatics of freshly cut wood saplings, green apples. Good minerality and a refreshing feel overall. An easy summer drinking wine. #2014 Vintage Notes:
2014 Vintage Report by Terry Theise
2014 Vintage Report by Wine Spectator
"My gut still tells me the Saar (and to some extent) the Ruwer are better overall in 2014 than the more storied areas of the Mosel proper, but those that spent the requisite time living in their middle-Mosel vineyards made some of the most electric and "feathery" Riesling in a long time (maybe the finest in 20 years - yes, it's true!)" - Jon Rimmerman (Of course only a very short historical memory would call the Saar and Ruwer less 'storied' than the middle Mosel - jht)
