Tasted by foto45steve on 3/9/2019 & rated 87 points: Delicious. Easy drinking white. (528 views)
Tasted by Markie_Sharkie on 1/5/2018 & rated 90 points: Surprised at how his has improved. Melon and green apple. Good acidity. Good QPR. (877 views)
Tasted by tomoem on 6/22/2017 & rated 89 points: This has improved over the last year. Credit the weather or perhaps the evening June night but this seemed to hum.... at least tonight !

Green apple, lemon peel zest and a finish of wet stones. Impressive given the low expectation tonight. (1163 views)
Tasted by kdubler on 2/12/2017: Tatsing on February 12th all blind (SLC): Very floral and only a hint of green that is common with Sauvignon Blanc. No signs of oak, and very nice acidity. A great NV Sauvignon Blanc in a lighter style (1571 views)
Tasted by La Cave d'Argent on 1/3/2017 & rated 89 points: This straw-colored wine is entirely consistent with Whitehall Lane's style (as well as being consistent with the appellation). Green apples, citrus, lemongrass and melon reside in a light-bodied, freshly acidic frame with well-integrated alcohol (listed as 13.5%). Nicely dense in the middle, it goes on to finish with medium length. Priced quite fairly, this delicious white will be at its best over the next couple of years. Drink now-2019. (1410 views)
Tasted by grdnbrrtt on 1/2/2017 & rated 80 points: no fruit or floral, but mineral was ok but not as good as many others. (898 views)
Tasted by jzebrack on 10/2/2016 & rated 88 points: personally liked the 2013 best, and, having drank the 2014 as well as this 2015, the wine definitely changes from year to year, but is a very drinkable light wine (761 views)
Tasted by tomoem on 5/30/2016 & rated 88 points: Memorial Day barbecue at my home with friends

Not my style of wine but I can appreciate the summer delight in this wine. I could almost see myself gulping this out of a red cup. Light bodied and well balanced wine with sweet notes of strawberry and lemon peel. (668 views)

Sauvignon Blanc

Varietal Character

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
