Tasted by Rbhan12 on 3/2/2024: I've had white rhone a few times now and am consistently underwhelmed. This came across a touch more ethereal and elegant than others I've had, but was still a bit round and lacking the structure and acidity to really drive it forward. (207 views)
Tasted by Kaizah on 10/20/2022 & rated 90 points: I think this wine will be wonderful with 5+ more years (494 views)
Tasted by Pey2001 on 1/29/2022: Starting to get a little oxidised flavour which I quite like. Still fairly rich and mineral (rather than acid) driven. I don't know how far this will develop and if it's worth it. Maybe drink up now? (678 views)
Tasted by Pey2001 on 4/5/2020 & rated 90 points: Such a harsh review from Richard Hemming from JR for this wine, but I rather like it. It's full bodied, rich in the mouth, but a strict minerality and a judicious acidity keeps it getting too fat. It didn't last particularly well overnight, when the bitterness came out and the sweetness faded, but from PnP this is very nice. (894 views)
Tasted by Schiffy on 7/1/2019 & rated 93 points: This white rhone has a terrific blend of being soft/round with stone fruits, lemon and a nice minerality at the same time. Super smooth on the finish and drinking very well right now. (1280 views)
Tasted by Eric Guido on 3/1/2018 & rated 92 points: The bouquet was remarkably fresh with minerals up front, stone fruits, and exotic florals. On the palate, I found velvety, caressing textures with ripe melon, sweet herbs and spice. It was perfectly balanced right through the long finish, as oily textures slowed and faded from the senses. (2053 views)
Tasted by danckie on 11/21/2017 & rated 91 points: Tropical fruit, some oak, a little buttery and mild acidity. A little to young but clearly with pedigree. Wait for 2 years and this will be in a even happier place then it is atm. (1317 views)

"As I have written many times in the past, the sweet spot for drinking Châteauneuf du Papes is usually the first 5-6 years after the vintage. Then they seem to go through an adolescent, awkward, and sometimes dormant stage, only to re-emerge around year 10-12, where the majority of wines are often fully mature. The best of them will continue to hold on to life (but rarely improving) beyond 15-20 years. It is only the exceptional Châteauneuf du Papes that will evolve for 20-25+ years, and those are indeed a rarity. However, things may be improving dramatically in terms of the longevity of Châteauneuf du Pape, although Grenache-dominated wines, the vast majority of wines produced in the appellation, are wines that do not have the polyphenol (extract and tannin) content of top Cabernet Sauvignons, Merlots, or Syrah-based wines. Nevertheless, the younger generation in Châteauneuf du Pape has taken seriously the farming in the vineyards. There are more organic and biodynamically run vineyards here than in any other appellation of France. The yields, which were already low, are even lower today (20-35 hectoliters per hectare), and of course, the proliferation of top luxury and/or old-vine cuvées gives a significant boost to the number of wines that will evolve past 25 or 30 years. The advantage of these wines is their broad window of drinkability." - Robert Parker
