Tasted by yatchisin on 10/31/2023 & rated 85 points: Kind of a generic zin that did get a bit more spice and black pepper after some air. (Note, it was a 1.5l) (188 views)
Tasted by pushtree on 6/4/2021 & rated 84 points: Still spicy with hints of berry. Pleasant and quite enjoyable after six years and drinkable on its own without food. I was expecting to have to discard it and was quite surprised. If you still have a bottle of this around I recommend that you open and taste it. (921 views)
Tasted by chelidon on 7/8/2020 & rated 84 points: Good QPR (under $6 when purchased), but mediocre wine, and somewhat past peak. (1268 views)
Tasted by john.matthewiv@gmail.com on 6/14/2020: Good value for a wine with steak. (1290 views)
Tasted by john.matthewiv@gmail.com on 4/6/2020: Still drinking very well. (1375 views)
Tasted by john.matthewiv@gmail.com on 11/7/2019: This is my House Zinfandel. (1406 views)
Tasted by oldwines on 2/16/2019 & rated 85 points: This was ok PnP for the first hour or so with a translucent bright, but light garnet color and flavors of light early red cherry, raspberry and baking spice. Not very spicy in the peppery sense, but with a layer of baking and Asian spice that was interesting at first. The finish seemed rather raisiny. The wine did however fall apart rather quickly and was pretty acidic and charmless by the next morning when I tasted some left in the bottle. Not Recommended though reasonably priced. (1112 views)
Tasted by Ethom on 1/13/2019 & rated 88 points: Woody fore taste with minimal spice on the finish. Decent zin but seems to be pushed to the middle road. (346 views)
Tasted by AnimeDude99 on 8/12/2018 & rated 55 points: This is bad. I made this account to tell people they should not buy this. Up front I could taste the alcohol and it burned. The wine was dry but not complex, due to the aforementioned alcohol taste and feel in the mouth I didn't pick up any significant notes. Normally I associated zinfandel with oak or tobacco notes on the finish I didn't get any of that because all I could taste was dirt and alcohol. Not likeable. Next I will use the assistant to try to describe it better. Waste of $4. Walmart has $4 bottles that are better!
The wine looks crimson colored. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like raspberry. It tastes like alcohol/hot and ethanol. The body is medium. The wine has oily texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has low acidity. (973 views)
Tasted by LIWines on 7/30/2018 & rated 85 points: Funk (953 views)
Tasted by john.matthewiv@gmail.com on 6/15/2018: This is always a great wine. I should always have a bottle in my cellar. (1044 views)
Tasted by GoBlue2002 on 2/17/2018 & rated 91 points: Wine Crush Tasting: ~ 2 oz tasting pour.
So many wines tonight... (851 views)
Tasted by ra.walker on 12/15/2017 & rated 76 points: Somewhat bland and underwhelming. Not terrible but not a great flavour profile. Generally I prefer a stronger tannin finish of which there is none with this wine. Probably wouldn't buy again. (882 views)
Tasted by Goldorak on 11/25/2017: Trop sec pour du spaghetti
Pas dans nos goûts en général
Par cone, il etait moins pire froid le lendemain, il serait meilleur avec des craquelins et fromages (686 views)
Tasted by Jzizzle on 11/9/2017 & rated 87 points: I enjoy this with lots of berry fruit and spice, vanilla and smokiness of liberal wood. Its medium bodied, not very tannic, and a bit boozy. But its fun.... (1301 views)

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
