Tasted by Kansas1955 on 1/27/2022: This was very smooth. Good fruit but soft and enjoyable. (336 views)
Tasted by Wwinowillie on 5/11/2021: Pretty young,
Kind of a cranberry vibe. Pretty good tannin. Kind of underwhelming for the standard that they have set. Idk that this is really gonna get that much better tbh (304 views)
Tasted by Wwinowillie on 4/21/2021 & rated 87 points: Pretty dark purple with a bit of ruby.

Nose: kinda lost here, a little bit of floral and baking spice and slight red fruit pies or tarts.

Very smooth mouthfeel with a tart raspberry to keep the balance, slight dryness but it more complements the smooth mouthfeel than contrasts it. The finish is mainly composed of darker flavors which also helps balance the fresh raspberry at the beginning. It’s a bit smoky also. Even the strawberry influence has a bit of a green to it.

Looking forward to the next bottle this one was a bit of a mystery for me (309 views)
Tasted by WinesforS&B on 4/20/2021 & rated 86 points: Had this wine with G&W, L&J for Bob’s birthday at Il Fornio.

Delicious ! (304 views)

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson

Sonoma County

Mendocino County

Sonoma Valley

Sonoma County, California, is one of the most important winegrowing regions in the whole of the United States. Vines have been planted here since the 1850s and, apart from the inevitable hiatus brought about by Prohibition, the county's relationship with wine has been prolific and unbroken.

Viticulturally speaking, Sonoma County is divided into three distinct sections: Sonoma Valley, Northern Sonoma and Sonoma Coast. Each of these has its own AVA title and encompasses several sub-AVAs within its boundaries.
