Got better on day 2. (2444 views) | | Tasted by suthersm on 12/4/2011 & rated 92 points: Just beautiful. Not a wow wine but rather impeccably balanced and seamless. Nose of lavender, pepper, and cassis. Rich fruit without over-ripeness. And man was it seamless. Really, really good. (2588 views) | | Tasted by jhannah27 on 6/24/2011 & rated 90 points: Dropped in the decanter for about an hour before pairing with filet mignon. Really lovely floral and roasted herb nose jumping out of the glass. The fruit is rich and structured, but wound pretty tight right now. I also got a wonderful herb and pencil lead finish that I love so much from Cab Franc. I don't think this is built for the long haul, but it definitely still needs a year or so in bottle to come together. Excellent for the price. (3456 views) |
