Tasted by RubiconSail on 3/1/2020 flawed bottle: Too aged (650 views)
Tasted by bons vinhos on 9/19/2016 & rated 88 points: Pretty decent,by the previous TNs I thought I was going to find a wine half-dead,but turned out ok.Drink it up! (2942 views)
Tasted by kostaslonis on 7/10/2016 & rated 87 points: Drank at home. Faint notes of almost grilled asparagus, acidity gone, ripe stone fruits, med body and finish. The wine was gone but not oxidized (2935 views)
Tasted by Swaggering Beaunie on 4/28/2015 & rated 92 points: Wow! This is a surprise. Unusually full-bodied for a Kiwi SB, with a good deal of stony minerality, and a lovely, beguiling tangerine-peel-and-floral (orange blossom!) finish. If I'd tasted this blind, I'd have guessed it to be a high-end expensive Loire SB from a great vintage. MUST get more. (4389 views)
Tasted by moods on 1/12/2015 & rated 89 points: Interesting to drink this with some bottle age. Normally like my SB's young and fresh. Pleasantly surprised how well this is holding up. Mature green pepper, asparagus, and pea aromas. Some creaminess too. Palate is smooth and the acidity is sufficient to cut through the weighty palate. Drink up now. (4644 views)
Tasted by MJINZ on 9/3/2014 & rated 92 points: Excellent (4864 views)
Tasted by honest bob on 8/3/2014 & rated 88 points: From 75cl screwcap. On its way out, this very ripe NZ SB still shows well. Ripe, mature green gooseberry/green kiwi fruit and softening acidity. Drink up. 88P (3282 views)
Tasted by Vullal on 7/18/2014 & rated 89 points: Great nose - flowery. Taste - a bit on the acidic side, very flavorful. (3014 views)
Tasted by 52winelover on 4/15/2014 & rated 89 points: Crisp, Citrus, very typical. (2334 views)
Tasted by cannym on 3/29/2014 & rated 91 points: Still very pale straw. Bit of grass and citrus on the nose. Great intensity but with a lovely elegance. Tart gooseberry, grapefruit, grassy. Good length, fine acidity. Very classy wine. (2016 views)
Tasted by honest bob on 2/17/2014 & rated 90 points: From 75cl screwcap. Terrific clean-as-a-whistle NZ SB. If you like your SB bone dry and in perfect balance between gooseberry, grass and citrus it doesn't get a lot better than this. 90P (1855 views)
Tasted by woody57 on 1/11/2014 & rated 92 points: This is the second best NZ SB among the 75+ I've tasted; better integrated than most; the best is the Greywacke "wild"; buy it if you can find it (1896 views)
Tasted by cannym on 12/28/2013 & rated 89 points: Clean. pale greenish straw. Lots of fresh fruits, tart gooseberry, grapefruit. Grassy. Nice acidity. Elegant. (1880 views)
Tasted by jugar2ma on 12/25/2013 & rated 91 points: Crisp, clean (1550 views)
Tasted by Vinnut on 10/14/2013 & rated 88 points: Light, pale straw in color. Fragrant & attractive nose of ripe citrus notes of grapefruit, lemons/limes, with apples & pineapple, floral notes of honeysuckle & lemongrass, some smoky notes, wet stones & minerals and fresh cut grass. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of ripe & crisp citrus fruit flavors of tart grapefruit, sweet Myer lemons & Persian limes, some green apples, lychee, lemongrass and minerals. Lingering finish with just a hint of residual sugar to round it off. A very nice & enjoyable NZ SB. (2286 views)
Tasted by Zoomin Z on 10/4/2013 & rated 92 points: A very elegant NZ Sauvignon blanc. Perfectly balanced, light on its feet, awesomely food friendly. Classic grapefruit, melon and light grassy nose with a very clean, tart mouthfeel and long ( almost a hint of butter) finish. Excellent. (2003 views)
Tasted by M.Batard on 9/24/2013 & rated 91 points: Just delightful paired with sushi at Ike's. I don't understand where the case has gone, but this was last bottle. (1854 views)
Tasted by joet626 on 8/30/2013 & rated 89 points: Not as good as previous bottle. lacking in the sharp tartness but still a good bottle. Just a little muted compared to prior offering (2059 views)
Tasted by Vervelb on 7/27/2013 & rated 82 points: Lemon and lime, grapefruit, a touch of minerality, but not as zingy and refreshing as I'd like. (2348 views)
Tasted by RGCM Gananda on 7/20/2013 & rated 90 points: Peach and grass notes on the nose; like an airy meadow. Very round and supple mouthfeel, perhaps not as much acidity as a typical NZ sauvignon blanc. Almost a note of creaminess on the finish. Grapefruit and melon flavors on the front palette, green apple in the middle and finishing on a lemon note. If you like your sauvignon blancs with deep cut and acidity, this wine may be past that point. But if you like a slightly softer style, while preserving all the classic flavor notes, this is your wine. Still has the acidity to last through 2014. (1599 views)
Tasted by Nojomoschwa on 7/16/2013 & rated 89 points: Very finely crafted Sauvignon Blanc. Not in your face as much as many Marlborough examples. Well integrated citrus fruit (lemon curd) with refreshing acidity and pretty good persistence. Looking forward to trying is "wild yeast" fermented SB and his PN offerings next. (1768 views)
Tasted by BadOyster on 7/7/2013 & rated 90 points: Ultimately not as good as it was 6 months ago as the bright classic NZ flavors have dissipated some. The background tea and petrol is still interesting, but perhaps too non-traditional for non-wine-geeks. Time to move on to the 2012 vintage ... (1904 views)
Tasted by lewisrise on 7/5/2013 & rated 90 points: Nose of lemon and curd. Tart with lemon and grapefruit. (1491 views)
Tasted by joet626 on 6/21/2013 & rated 91 points: This was outstanding. Subtle tartness with loads of grapefruit and lemon. Wonderfully refreshing--really good. (1551 views)
Tasted by BadOyster on 6/15/2013 & rated 91 points: This time around, there was a funky/peat note on the nose that was fairly unattractive, but it decreased over an hour or so. It doesn't have the same intriguing green tea flavors this time around, instead with a bitter lemon pith being a strong note, but what's remaining is a solid, clean, mineral-laden NZ sauv blanc.
