Tasted by Pancreatitis on 11/17/2020: Essentially unchanged following my last note, rich, intense, high acidity, minimal evolution over several hours open, intensely mineral. (276 views)
Tasted by Pancreatitis on 7/3/2017 & rated 90 points: Rich golden. Nose matches palate: very intense bees wax and iodine infused seashell minerality, nuances of tropical fruits and a strong kelpyness. Very rich and intense with strong acidity. (614 views)
Tasted by felixp on 4/11/2017 & rated 92 points: took a day to open up, but well worth the wait.
So beautifully racy, fill of pears, apples, even bananas!!! But taut and structured, begs for another sip. Superb riesling.
Highly recommended. (926 views)
Fantastisk bra! (760 views)
Tasted by Timbalimba on 1/25/2013 & rated 92 points: Green-tinted gold. Fantastic nose, almost camp, decadent, heavily scented yet pure, primal aromas of ripe Mediterranean peaches, apricots competing against more sinful perfumes. The palate feels much more youthful than the heady nose, with full bodied, creamy mouthfeel, backed up by racy acidity, pear and peach fruit. Jancis bangs on about racy wines but this, although I hesitate to use the word, really is racy, nervy, taut. Clean finish, some minerals, but still early days. Needs time. Absolutely fantastic quality and value. 92++ (1212 views)

#2014 Vintage Notes:
2014 Vintage Report by Terry Theise
2014 Vintage Report by Wine Spectator
"My gut still tells me the Saar (and to some extent) the Ruwer are better overall in 2014 than the more storied areas of the Mosel proper, but those that spent the requisite time living in their middle-Mosel vineyards made some of the most electric and "feathery" Riesling in a long time (maybe the finest in 20 years - yes, it's true!)" - Jon Rimmerman (Of course only a very short historical memory would call the Saar and Ruwer less 'storied' than the middle Mosel - jht)
