Tasted by merryberry on 6/9/2015 & rated 85 points: Light straw yellow. Grapefruit and melon nose. Medium to full bodied, lemon rind, somewhat bitter almonds, plenty of acid, and a tangy medium to long dry finish. A little too austere for me. (2088 views)
Tasted by markellen.foodies@gmail.com on 12/30/2013 & rated 89 points: Brown Bag Wine Dinner at Two Chefs (TWO CHEFS, MIAMI, FL): The wine looks Straw colored. The legs are Fast. It smells like and Grapefruit. The body is Light. The wine has Narrow texture. The wine finishes Short. Geoff's wine. (4228 views)
Tasted by WinthropT96 on 12/27/2013 & rated 87 points: Good value wine for a big group of people. Classic sauv blanc nose with balance in the mouth and nice acidity. (3544 views)
Tasted by Life At Your Leisure 🍷 on 12/8/2013 & rated 85 points: Very light straw color with mild floral notes and touches of peach, green apple, and smoke. Very simple, straightforward and linear. Drink now until 2018. (3427 views)
Tasted by wabi47 on 8/11/2013 & rated 85 points: moderate concentration and length; serviceable citrus, quince and grass. Good summer afternoon party wine. (4283 views)
Tasted by Sniktaw on 7/24/2013 & rated 90 points: Very nice dry Sav Blanc lovely citrus and interesting grassiness. We had with Tequila & Lime marinated Shrimp grilled with Asparagus and it worked wonderfully. (2887 views)
Tasted by Jobu on 5/19/2013 & rated 88 points: Solid if unremarkable. Decent value. Pairs well with a variety of dishes. (2032 views)
Tasted by Relniius on 5/14/2013 & rated 90 points: Drink now. Goes well with fish. Will be particularly good in summer months. (1933 views)
Tasted by Crystal on 4/27/2013 & rated 89 points: Pleasant suprose this is a bodies sauvignon. (1923 views)
Tasted by Jonclark99 on 3/26/2013 & rated 88 points: I get melon and mineral. It is nice with a cream soup without meat. (1573 views)
Tasted by Tim Heaton on 3/14/2013: (synthetic cork, merde!), served non-blind. Maybe the best showing yet, and more NZ than Sancerre. Nonetheless, the steely, chiseled, minerality played well against the dry, yet somewhat plump fruit. Sure, it's from the valley floor, but obviously it was picked at the right time. 13,5% abv, great with breaded chicken breasts with garlic, parm, capers, and, of course, hot sauce. Drink now. (1882 views)
Tasted by Tim Heaton on 3/3/2013: consistent tn's. The wife loved it, the guests loved it. Nearly medium bodied, with orchard and citrus aromas and flavors. It was under $15, so I loved it, too. 13,5% abv, drink thru 2014 (1615 views)
Tasted by Tim Heaton on 2/26/2013: from 375ml, off the list at Fiamma. Light toward medium straw. Aromas of lemon-lime sherbet, cantaloupe, honeydew melon and riverbed. Modernly styled and good with or without food. Just enough lift and purity of fruit to get me to drink this again. A good value and my wife loves it, so there you go. 13,5% abv, drink thru 2014 (1610 views)
Tasted by isaacjamesbaker on 2/4/2013 & rated 85 points: Ripe melon fruit meets onion grass. Tangy acid keeps it interesting. Solid, but not very thought-provoking. (1506 views)
Tasted by ey1294 on 1/15/2013 & rated 88 points: - Light gold color with fast forming legs and aromas of melon and honey. It's somewhat balanced and has flavours of melon and lemon with a light body. Bright texture with a medium finish - Metallic finish. (1462 views)
Tasted by TKS9 on 1/12/2013: Consistent with prior note/score, but with an odd effervescence this time that I don't recall being present in the last bottle. (1504 views)
Tasted by jwkagel on 11/17/2012 & rated 92 points: Very pale white with a great nose. Nose reminds me of abraxis. Some tingle up front with hints of honey and stonefruit. The alcohol comes out a little on the finish. The tinglee hangs around a long time. (1324 views)
Tasted by pmccullough17 on 10/22/2012 & rated 82 points: PMcCullough: nice grassy nose. Very acidic - a bit sour. Although it is clean, the bite on the back side of the palate is unpleasant. (2153 views)
Tasted by Ashwini on 10/7/2012 & rated 85 points: Ok... (2189 views)
Tasted by NEwino on 10/1/2012 & rated 90 points: This bottle is always a hit in our house. It is the go to bottle because you always get that great summer crispness of apples and pears. I just love this wine in the summer!! (2226 views)
Tasted by PAB1941 on 9/27/2012 & rated 90 points: Always enjoy this very refreshing wine with lots of flavor
The wine looks Colorless colored. The legs are Fast. It smells like Grapefruit, and Lemon. The body is Light. The wine has Bright texture. The wine finishes Medium. (2229 views)
Tasted by MillenialWineGuy on 8/6/2012 & rated 85 points: Bright and clean on the nose. Very typical SB flavors. Grass, melon etc.
A decent amount of effervescence on the palate which I'm sure was not intentional but I actually don't mind it. Makes it feel light and different. (2647 views)
Tasted by TheCutter on 8/4/2012 & rated 85 points: Good basic white wine easy down the hatch (2238 views)
Tasted by TKS9 on 8/3/2012 & rated 87 points: Solid but nothing special. Could use more acidity to provide structure. Still, refreshing served somewhat chilled on a hot day. (2271 views)
Tasted by isaacjamesbaker on 7/5/2012 & rated 85 points: Floral, lemon, grass aromas. Big and full on the palate with lots of melon and mango on the palate with hints of grass. (2428 views)

Varietal Character

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
