| Community Tasting Notes (average 90 pts. and median of 90 pts. in 70 notes) - hiding notes with no text | | Tasted by black sheep 2130 on 6/3/2020 & rated 90 points: This wine was perfect with every course of the meal, fruit appetizer, chicken and then cake. A wonderful compliment. (829 views) | | Tasted by Bruce 1er on 11/15/2017: Third tasting. Beautiful light red color, nice fine bubbles. However now seems past its prime and is disappointing in that it basically has little flavor left except for hints of tart cherries, red currents. I kept coming back to it hoping to detect something, but found little there but a dry and feeble finish. Maybe it's just this bottle. (1745 views) | | Tasted by ChipGreen on 10/24/2017: Fresh baked bread for days with supporting red berry notes. If this bottle is any indication, it may still be improving. (1996 views) | | Tasted by Wino Laurie on 10/5/2017 & rated 90 points: Perfect and well balanced sparkling rose for dairy Break Fast meal! (1763 views) | | Tasted by Mr.Grimm on 1/1/2017 & rated 94 points: A solid brute. (2013 views) | | Tasted by merryberry on 1/1/2017 & rated 90 points: Light red with salmon tones. Tiny bubbles with a fresh strawberry and wet stone nose. Raspberries, tart cherries, fresh bread, and a long semi-sweet finish. Still going strong. (2426 views) | | Tasted by mydi on 11/27/2016 & rated 86 points: Nice rose but slightly sweet. Beautiful color. (1346 views) | | Tasted by Bruce 1er on 11/24/2016 & rated 94 points: Still delightful. Dry on the front end with rose petals and strawberries fruit. Good acid in the finish. It evolved in the glass, opening and rounding, with the fruit becoming more apparent. Probably near peak now. (Second tasting.) (1305 views) | | Tasted by ChipGreen on 10/18/2016: Notes similar to previous. PnP straight from fridge and that was a mistake. Suggest serving just slightly chilled to fully experience/enjoy the aromas and flavors. Lovely! (1481 views) | | Tasted by ChipGreen on 9/25/2016: Beautiful translucent color. Wonderful nose of candied apple, strawberry and bread. Palate similar to nose with candied red fruit, brioche and frothy mousse. Delicious! (881 views) | | Tasted by ChipGreen on 3/27/2016: Very nice with Easter dinner. Paired especially well with the ham. (1092 views) | | Tasted by Rich S on 3/12/2016 & rated 90 points: Consistent with previous bottle. This bottle was very strawberry and red fruit dominant with hints of floral and yeast notes in the background. Quite tasty and paired well with an arugula and strawberry salad. (998 views) | | Tasted by rjquillin on 2/23/2016: No notes taken, but liked by all. (1637 views) | | Tasted by karaseke on 12/28/2015 & rated 86 points: strong pink shade, fruit is still expressive and bright, lacks the yeasty aromas one might expect, enjoyed with roast ham and tex mex egg souffle (1098 views) | | Tasted by Ridgerunner on 12/9/2015 & rated 92 points: We love tiny pink bubbles (1139 views) | | Tasted by ChipGreen on 10/18/2015 & rated 91 points: Still going strong. Fruity but dry. Tart cherry/raspberry with baker's yeast. Medium+ finish. Very nice. (1025 views) | | Tasted by Martin Redmond on 8/28/2015 & rated 90 points: Wines At Our Table; Week of August 30, 2015; 8/24/2015-8/30/2015: Strawberry color with a persistent bead of tiny bubbles and yeasty tart red fruit, dried rose and a hint of mineral aromas. On the palate it shows a moderately creamy mousse with intense cherry, raspberry blood orange flavors. 63% Pinot Noir 37% Chardonnay. 13.5% alcohol (1423 views) | | Tasted by shadowjack on 8/3/2015 & rated 91 points: Yeasty nose, tart red fruit palate. Effervescent and great strawberry color. (1273 views) | | Tasted by Rich S on 7/25/2015 & rated 90 points: Consistent with previous bottles. Definite yeasty, dough notes on the nose but with tart red fruits and some citrus as well. Still crisp and refreshing but seemed more complex than I recall from earlier bottles. (1091 views) | | Tasted by matthewmallon on 5/10/2015 & rated 90 points: Very deep color. Strawberry with nice crisp acidity. Not a bad rose sparkler for $35 (1293 views) | | Tasted by Bruce 1er on 5/4/2015 & rated 92 points: Dry, crisp, and elegant. Excellent balance, very harmonious in its fruit (especially strawberries) and acidity. (1248 views) | | Tasted by mydi on 4/2/2015 & rated 90 points: Nice bubbly with fruit flavors, good nose. Light and refreshing. (1147 views) | | Tasted by Rich S on 3/28/2015 & rated 89 points: Medium-dark pink color. Nose of red cherry and ripe strawberry with some hints of earthy funk. Similar flavors on the palate with a nice, tart red fruit profile and slight hints of yeasty dough. Good acidity and mouthfeel with a clean, refreshing finish. Very versatile from a food pairing perspective. I like this wine but QPR is questionable. (1127 views) | | Tasted by ecola on 1/28/2015 & rated 80 points: Somewhat light and uninspiring. (1185 views) | | Tasted by merryberry on 12/31/2014 & rated 89 points: Very pretty translucent light red. Strawberry, toast, and wet stone nose, with very fine bubbles. Tart raspberries, biting acid, a touch of yeasty bitterness, and a slightly sweet medium to long finish. Happy New Year! Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.California2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson Sonoma CountyMendocino County |
