Tasted by .M. on 10/6/2022 & rated 88 points: nydelig nese med tydelige tertiæraromaer, men blitt litt sliten. drikk opp. (958 views)
Tasted by glou.sf on 11/29/2020 & rated 89 points: Pleasant to drink, but just a bit simple and missing complexity. (2178 views)
Tasted by Kiranonwine on 10/20/2019 & rated 96 points: Drinking well but probably at its best. Drink up (2647 views)
Sitter ganske lenge. Holder lenge til. (2895 views)
Tasted by M.Batard on 1/16/2019 & rated 90 points: Agree with JH: peppery dark fruit in a chewy, rich wrapper all in harmony...Excellent with lamb siniyah from Ottolenghi’s new Simple. (2901 views)
Tasted by lkilpio on 7/8/2018 & rated 89 points: Aromas and flavors of plum, fig and blackberry are mingled with some burnt notes. This full-bodied wine is dense, thick, fruity, pleasant, solid and structured. It is made in a kind of New-World-influenced style, though: where are the notes of black pepper, tobacco, smoke and black berries, so typical of the Northern Rhône reds?

There are some signs that the fruitiness is starting to fade, so the wine may be on its peak at the moment. (2792 views)
(2791 views)
Tasted by Tige on 12/24/2017 & rated 88 points: Bu sur 2 jours.
Excellent. (2595 views)
Tasted by thejerk on 12/25/2016: While prepping Christmas meal (2706 views)
Tasted by retired_and_roving on 12/16/2016: From the wine list at Del Frisco's (Atlanta). Great value for a restaurant wine list and really delicious. The nose on this was black fruits and black olives. On the palate this initially opens with dark fruit followed immediately by savory olive tapenade - paired perfectly with grilled filet mignon. This really delivered a lot of drinking pleasure for the price and we will try to seek some of these out for the cellar. (2300 views)
Tasted by FransS on 10/28/2016 & rated 87 points: Nose a bit closed and missing some body, elegant however. (2364 views)
Tasted by lkilpio on 10/9/2016 & rated 89 points: This is a well-made and fruity, but a very New-World-style Northern Rhône Syrah Wine. The taste is dense, smooth and very powdery on the palate. (2192 views)
Tasted by Xavier Auerbach on 6/22/2016 & rated 89 points: A private dinner (Retaurant Sazanka *, Amsterdam, NL): Solid northern Rhône Syrah, firm and tannic but with good ripe fruit, spices and minerals, complete and well-structured, medium body, good length. (2426 views)
Tasted by knothoef on 6/4/2016 & rated 88 points: Peppery. Fruity. Some vanilla (1769 views)
Tasted by MLipton on 4/26/2016: Opened with grilled rack of lamb. Pure Syrah fruit, still youngish, but with no obtrusive tannin and a firm acidic spine. Nicely balanced with no alcohol showing and little evidence of oak. By the end of the evening it had taken on more savory notes with flavors of olive and a saline finish. (1862 views)
89-90 (1829 views)
Tasted by Renzloh on 3/19/2016 & rated 91 points: Complex, spicy, earthy. Excellent wine. (1705 views)
Tasted by nicking on 10/29/2015 & rated 89 points: Crème Vanille , léger bois ( légèrement fumer ) , fruit noir , tannin bien fondu , léger thé noir/ feuille morte , léger poivre , belle équilibre 89-90 (2000 views)
Tasted by Loren Sonkin on 10/8/2015 & rated 89 points: Chave-a-thon (Trentina's): Another nice buy on a restaurant wine list. Ruby/purple in color. The nose boysenberries and minerals. Tart boysenberries on the palate. Not much complexity but very easy drinking with a good acidity for food. I believe the retails for under $40. (2733 views)
Tasted by lkilpio on 9/18/2015 & rated 87 points: I had expected more from this. The berry aromas and flavors are simple, and the powdery vanilla flavors, due to oak aging, are very evident. This wine is balanced and correct, but not much more. (1931 views)
On adore ! (2404 views)
Tasted by OneForTheStairs on 5/23/2015: Yes! Nice, fresh wine. Purple at the rim, red in the core and quite light in appearance. Nose was leather, mint. In the mouth silky, fresh, with light oak, green pepper, cassis, mint, mulberry, smoke. Pleasantly sour in the finish after an hour or so of air, with sour cherry there too. Very drinkable. (2153 views)
(2107 views)
Tasted by Rezy13 on 5/2/2015: Old World Blind Tasting >$25 (Bin 75): Darker core, dull violet rim; young, reductive, tire, almost grapey, black plum, black pepper, violets; fresher palate, sweet dark fruit, plum, slight black pepper, almost smoky; nailed it on the head! (2285 views)

Syrah

Varietal article (Wikipedia) | (Wines Northwest)

Note that some producers in the Northern Rhone distinguish between simply Syrah and "Serine", the latter described as ‘an ancient clone of Syrah, the berries of which are more oval-shaped and less deeply pigmented than Syrah’ by producer Tardieu-Laurent.

Northern Rhône

Guide to the wines and appellations of the Northern Rhone Valley -

The Rhône Valley/Le Vins de la Vallée du Rhône (Comité Interprofession des vins AOC Côtes et vallée du Rhône)

Regional History:
Phocaean Greeks established viticulture in the Rhone as far back as 600 BC, but until the 14th century the wines were not seen outside the region. The establishment of the Avignonese Papacy (1305-1377) brought fame to the region's wine-so much so that their Burgundian neighbors to the north banned wines from the Rhone in 1446, a measure that effectively cut off trade with England and other Northern European markets for over 200 years. Stretching southward from Lyon to just south of Avignon, the Rhone produces a wide variety of wines, with the appellations north of Valence producing the least (in volume), and the towns south of Montelimar producing prodigious amounts. As in other regions, the most interesting wines come from small farms. Saint-Joseph, in the northern Rhone, extends for some distance between Condrieu in the north to Saint-Peray in the south. The reds are made from Syrah and the rare whites from Marsanne and Roussanne, and Viognier.

### 2017 vintage ###
"The first red wines already tasted in the Northern Rhône promise a beautiful vintage, with a quality close to the 2015 or even the 2009 vintage" - NEWRHÔNE MILLESIMES
