Tasted by psi on 8/3/2019 & rated 87 points: Too alcoholic, lack of fruit (638 views)
Tasted by Binder on 2/2/2019 & rated 93 points: Very good wine. Drank with manchego and similar cheeses. Excellent match. Be aware this vintage is indice 1 (completely dry), which was a surprise to me, as other vintage har been indice 2 or 3. (705 views)
Tasted by psi on 11/11/2018 & rated 85 points: Disappointing. Flabby... (671 views)
Tasted by tedsc456 on 9/22/2017 & rated 92 points: I love this wine. Big fruit, big complexity, a lot of spice - with some age it is now starting to balance beautifully - everything is starting to integrate - will hold for years to come but starting to peak. (1115 views)
Tasted by Vintomas on 7/25/2016 & rated 88 points: Much the same impression as in March; quite impressive nose and a powerful wine, but a bit too much alcohol for full balance. 88 p- (1568 views)
Tasted by Vintomas on 3/13/2016 & rated 87 points: Yellow colour. Nose with yellow apples, ripe pears and other ripe fruit, quite a lot of smokey notes, some dried and cooked fruit, a hint of honey, and a bit of musk. Dry but fruity palate (indice 1 on Z-H's scale 1-5), good concentration of fruit, noticeable alcohol, medium acidity, stony minerality, some spice notes, and a fruity aftertaste with some alcohol. Many Z-H wines can "hide" quite high levels of alcohol due to their often excellent concentration of fruit, but in this case the 15.5% definitely comes through, so this is unfortunately not fully balanced. 87 p.

While fully dry Alsace PGs can be excellent food wines, in this case I can't help but think that it had been better to stop at 15% and let it be slightly off-dry at indice 2, since that would probably have helped to mask the alcohol content. (1317 views)
Tasted by englishman's claret on 11/5/2013 & rated 91 points: Rich, ripe. Totally different than the rest of the line. Full and almost flamboyant, a little petrol and spice. Some funk. Interesting. (2172 views)
Tasted by Yiannis on 10/12/2013 & rated 91 points: Harry Hadzidakis Presents Zind-Humbrecht (La Cucina Povera Reastaurant, Athens, Greece.): Shy nose with green apple, pear, Alsatian herbs (rubarbe). Full-bodied with noticeable alcohol (15.5%) and sweetness, oily-textured with balancing acidity and a long aftertaste. (2120 views)
Tasted by kostaslonis on 10/12/2013 & rated 86 points: Zind Humbrecht Tasting (Cucina Povera): Clear pale lemon color.
Clean, mid intensity, round in the nose, easy going, ripe fruits, a bit shy, alcool and pears, youthful.
Off dry, medium+ body, medium/medium+ intensity, high alcohol (15.50%), and acidity, ripe fruits with pear and pineapple more obvious, unbalanced due to high alcohol, biscuit and smoke in the medium+ finish.
Very good quality, premium price, just too much alcohol for me. (1871 views)

Zind-Humbrecht

Producer website
Domaine Zind-Humbrecht is one of the stars of the Alsace, in the northeastern corner of France. Fought over for decades by Germany and France, the region, according to Robert M. Parker Jr., “is perhaps the most underrated and underutilized source of great white wines in the world.” Zind-Humbrecht was created in 1959 by Leonard Humbrecht and Genevieve Zind. Their son Olivier is now instrumental in running the 99-acre estate, which the family still owns. Like many Alsatian producers, Zind-Humbrecht makes white wines in varying degrees of sweetness, from dessert whites to very dry wines. The vineyards are planted to 30% Riesling, 30% Gewurztraminer, 29% Pinot Gris, and smaller amounts of Pinot Noir, Muscat, Chardonnay, Auxerrois and Pinot Blanc. Up to 18,000 cases are produced annually. Many are Grand Crus and single vineyard bottlings.

Pinot Gris

From Pinot Gris Wikipedia entry:
Wines made from the Pinot gris vary greatly and are dependent on the region and wine making style they are from. Alsatian Pinot gris are medium to full bodied wines with a rich, somewhat floral bouquet. They tend to be spicy in comparisons with other Pinot gris. While most Pinot gris are meant to be consumed early, Alsatian Pinot gris can age well. German Pinot gris are more full-bodied with a balance of acidity and slight sweetness. In Oregon the wines are medium bodied with a yellow to copper-pink color and aromas of pear, apple, and/or melon. In California, the Pinot gris are more light bodied with a crisp, refreshing taste with some pepper and arugula notes. The Pinot grigio style of Italy is a light-bodied, often lean wine that is light in color with sometimes spritzy flavors that can be crisp and acidic. Although this wine can be very sweet, it will begin to lose its acidity when it is nearly ripe.

Pinot gris is considered an "early to market wine" that can be bottled and out on the market within 4–12 weeks after fermentation.
