Tasted by Lilja on 9/9/2014 & rated 88 points: A more focused occasion this time. Lots of herbs, olives and paprika on the nose. There is also plenty of warm fruit, plums and blackcurrant dominating. Some nice funky aromas of paint and tar.
Round, medium acidity, good fruit and an almost full body. Some astringent tannins give a nice structure to a very nice wine. And good QPR as well! (2004 views)
Tasted by yofog on 9/4/2014: Bright and stony with distinct herbal/pine notes and a little blood, you can really tell there's some cinsault in here. Inviting but also nicely firm in its spine and very expressive. Drinks great. (1893 views)
Tasted by Lilja on 8/28/2014 & rated 88 points: A nice CdR! Peppar (surprisingly as it is only 20% Syrah), olives, some barnyard, oak and butter. Lots of fruit, medium acidity, full body with distinct tannins. (1976 views)
Tasted by henryd1 on 4/12/2014 & rated 85 points: This has an inviting, complex nose, with elements of ripe or stewed fruits, herbs, and garrigue. The palate is a touch thin, however, and so does not offer enough body (tanins, acidity) to counterbalance the 14 degrees of alcohol. (1933 views)
Tasted by rjonwine@gmail.com on 10/12/2013 & rated 88 points: Dark red violet color; roasted berry, ripe red berry, juniper berry, pine nose; baked berry, licorice, clove palate; medium-plus finish (80% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 5% Counoise and Vaccarese; 14% alcohol) 88+ points (225 views)

Red Rhone Blend

Read about the different grapes used to produce red and white Rhone wines
On CellarTracker, Red Rhone Blend is the term for a wine consisting of two or more of the traditional 13 Southern Rhone grape varieties. Typically it's the Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre or Cinsault grapes, but can also contain the Muscardin, Counoise, Clairette, Bourboulenc, Picpoul, Roussanne, Terret Noir, Picardan or Vaccarese grapes.

A 'food' wine. Lacking pretension and intended for local consumption with local cuisine. Lacks the 'high' notes on a Bordeaux, more earthy and sharper so often a better partner to meat dishes with a sauce.
