 Tasted by Gr8penut on 7/15/2019 & rated 88 points: So-so... (672 views)
Tasted by tomoem on 6/6/2019 & rated 91 points: One of the better value Cabernet's. This is a viscous and evolving wine which requires decanting. While fully extracted the wine is still young and I think worth waiting for. Balanced blackberry fruit with supble doses of charcoal and vanilla. The finish is good and a little un-balanced with more dominant acidity than tannin or fruit. Many many years are left on this well produced value driven juice. QPR is plus 92 but wine is a generous 91. (749 views)
Tasted by RoccoSydney on 5/1/2018 & rated 89 points: Nice and fruity (965 views)
Tasted by Gr8penut on 3/28/2018 & rated 91 points: Tasted better on day two then day one. The nose really opened up and wine is very big. Probably will outlast the estimates of 2017 By a couple years for those who want to keep holding it. (1083 views)
Tasted by mats13 on 6/25/2017 & rated 89 points: No notes taken from a very late night after having had plenty to drink. Sorry I can't be more helpful. I had just had a very decent bottle before this, and I distinctly recall the quality wasn't quite there, but I believe it to be quite drinkable. (900 views)
Tasted by RoccoSydney on 4/7/2017: Young, but fruity. (918 views)
Tasted by caitmk on 5/10/2015 & rated 84 points: Dry. Not fruity. Not my favorite. Had it at mom and dads. (2203 views)
Tasted by TK Mastres on 2/28/2015 & rated 86 points: Decent but very unremarkable. At this price point I suppose you can't complain but at the same time you expect better from this brand. (2083 views)
Tasted by Markie_Sharkie on 2/5/2015 & rated 85 points: Pretty average but not memorable. Difficult vintage for many wines at this price point. (1911 views)
Tasted by Swajln on 1/30/2015 & rated 89 points: Good for vintage. Nice wine for price. (1731 views)
Tasted by Gngrg on 7/12/2014 & rated 89 points: Nice bouquet with hints if black cherry. Mild tannins and fruit forward. (853 views)
 Tasted by ghobby on 5/24/2014 & rated 87 points: Average,syrupy (1570 views)
Tasted by ghobby on 4/14/2014 & rated 87 points: Decent wine, but a bit syrupy (1570 views)
Tasted by expatsmith on 4/2/2014: Enjoy with carnivorous meal or with family friends. (1379 views)
Tasted by Mike Kopanski on 11/23/2013 & rated 91 points: This is really fun and playful, inspired blend from a very respectable producer. The nose just exudes fruit, very much like a zin, but with some help from the other varietals. Deep dark rick color. The fruit is spicy, layered, upfront briary baked blueberry, black cherry and currant. Thick, unctuous and structured enough for a 90+ score. Superb balance almost leaves the impression of some sweetness. Handles the oak an alcohol well. The finish is smooth, almost candied fruit with just enough graphite, cola, and other secondary flavors. (1690 views)
Tasted by jsums on 10/10/2013 & rated 88 points: Garnet/purple color. Nose: blackberry, currant, and blueberry with accents of tobacco, dark chocolate, pie crust, peppercorn, and licorice. Medium body on the palate: blackberry, blueberry, and currant framed by dark chocolate, tobacco, clove, licorice, and black tea. Medium acidity. Moderate/lighter tannins. Lingering berry skin, black tea, tobacco, and licorice on the moderate finish. Very tasty, straightforward Napa red blend. Well balanced. Drink over the next 2 years. (1648 views)

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
