Tasted by mrooney on 12/6/2017 & rated 64 points: nose: good sauvignon blanc fruit with a hint of oak; palette: light fruit with a slightly oaky finish, less fruit than I expected from the way it smelled (1200 views)
Tasted by scarletfire65 on 1/30/2016 & rated 83 points: The wine looks straw colored. It smells like grapefruit, mineral and flint. It tastes like grapefruit. The body is light. The wine finishes short. The wine has high acidity. (1889 views)
Tasted by Xtremejester on 11/25/2015 & rated 56 points: Horrible! Tastes like a grapefruit smacked you in the face. (1982 views)
Tasted by jjrausch on 11/11/2014 & rated 85 points: Good, but a bit of a grapefruit bomb. Sipped this with homemade crabcakes served with corn on the cob and a salad. Paired OK with all, but by itself, the grapfruit totally takes over. Maybe a little over the top, even for NZ. (3193 views)

Tasted by dangdad on 7/6/2014 & rated 80 points: inexpensive, lite. I'd rather pay more for better wine. (1947 views)
Tasted by Jay Hack on 6/28/2014 & rated 71 points: Brought by someone to a party at my house. I find this wine offensive. The predominant flavor is bitterness on the back of the palate. I would have scored this 65 points, but in deference to the fact that others liked it, I will give it a below average rather than a "do your best to avoid" rating. There is a tiny bit of tropical fruit flavor at the front, but not enough to balance the bad characteristics. I have not had the Babich SB for 8 or 10 years, but I remember it as being far superior at the same price point. (1213 views)
Tasted by RonT on 2/2/2014 & rated 90 points: Opened at a dinner and drank by C and Anne who both enjoyed. Very smooth. Crisp but not overbearing (1236 views)
Tasted by mjlenox on 1/25/2014 & rated 78 points: Way too grapefruity for my taste. (1253 views)
Tasted by Mike Kopanski on 11/15/2013 & rated 88 points: Today is the first time I saw the 2013 on a retailers shelf, so grabbed a bottle. Cupcake Sauvignon Blanc Marlboro is one of our favorite wines, vintage to vintage. This one seems a little more elegant and subdued than previous. We still have that New Zealand in your face fresh citrus, but this time with a lot less grass. Young, fresh, vibrant, but quite civilized. Controlled gooseberry, lemongrass, grapefruit, melon and guava fruit. Nicely balanced acidity. The finish shows some fig, gooseberry, lime, white apple and honey. Will be trying many bottles of this well priced consistent performer. (1193 views)
