Tasted by Alaskawino on 8/11/2021 & rated 92 points: Similar to earlier notes but more balanced. Day 2 was even better. One more year won’t hurt it. Decanted for 1 hour. (513 views)
Tasted by Alaskawino on 12/24/2020 & rated 92 points: In a very nice spot. Well balanced with fruit spice leather and tobacco. Probably no upside from here. Opened 3 hours prior. (682 views)
Tasted by CDT on 4/14/2020 & rated 91 points: The final of 4 bottles purchased 6 years ago. Still a bit of a fruit & tannin bomb, but mellowed substantially in the cellar.
Nose is lovely dark fruit with earth & oak.
Flavour is robust dark fruit (blackberry), earth, oak, spice with medium acidity and medium to high soft tannins.
Finish is long, and even with 14.8% ABV, wine is balanced. (832 views)
Tasted by cburgner on 3/23/2019 & rated 91 points: A great well rounded shiraz with a long smooth finish. It has aged well. (1309 views)
Tasted by ChâteauneufDuPfaff on 4/29/2018 & rated 89 points: Pretty solid Shiraz from Down under. Lots of vanilla, dark fruits, some eucalyptus. Massive and broad-shouldered. Went well with the BBQ. (1851 views)
Tasted by Roxana on 5/20/2017 & rated 92 points: The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. (2510 views)
Tasted by Brhouts on 2/14/2017 & rated 90 points: Good wine (843 views)
Tasted by WimHH on 1/5/2017 & rated 90 points: Strong, good tannins, rather dry. Very good person! (2549 views)
Tasted by wdlohr on 3/13/2016 & rated 90 points: This was a very concentrated and deep wine with black fruit, spice, and pepper tones. As it aired it became more balanced and interesting. (2958 views)
Tasted by IvanKrazy on 2/19/2016 & rated 90 points: Wow, way too intense for me. Somebody forgot to turn off the afterburners. Definitely not my style.
Edit: After I glass, I let this wine rest one day and it made a HUGE difference as I was now able to discern aromas and flavors. Decant for a little before trying it. (2679 views)
Tasted by Collector1855 on 2/22/2015 & rated 90 points: Tasted during a South Australia vineyard safari. Dark purple. Nose of fruit compote, berries. Medium-full bodied on the palate there is a bit of alcoholic heat as well but the acidity is good. 90-91 (3649 views)
Tasted by Timbalimba on 1/2/2015 & rated 90 points: Blackish purple, hallmark Oz. Expressive nose with blackberry marmalade, toasted oak, sundried leather, eucalyptus. Full bodied and generous, blackberry fruit, fried bacon, myrtle. Clean finish with ripe tannin, toasted notes, blackberry pulp. Exuberantly fruity but nowhere near flabby. This leaves no doubt regarding to its origins and it's very good value. Drink or keep (2507 views)
Tasted by Blauweiss on 7/27/2014 & rated 91 points: Big fruit, well balanced and very pleasing indeed!
This Will be interresting to se how it develops with cellartime! (2542 views)
Tasted by yofog on 5/1/2014 & rated 92 points: Really really ripe and unctuous but magically without even the slightest hint of overripeness. Awesome. (2063 views)
