Tasted by cogo44 on 3/17/2021 & rated 96 points: The wine has most certainly come of age. The nose is arch typical Hunter semillon while on the palate the honey and toast is becoming ever predominant. This wine is so reminiscent of the semillons of a previous era and such a strong expression of the region's unique take on semillon. (357 views)

Tasted by cogo44 on 12/22/2019 & rated 96 points: Wow! What a difference six months has made to this great expression of Hunter semillon albeit it is somewhat different to the default style. It is now turning to a deeper golden colour. The nose has the floral and rich lemon pith and lime lift that follows straight on to the palate. The acid holds the length of the deep fruit so well. A honey note is also evident. The winemaker identified this eight acres of Lovedale as being a “purple patch”. So glad I overbought this wine and have 16 bottles to track through another ten years at least. (474 views)
Tasted by cogo44 on 7/31/2019 & rated 91 points: Lemon pith and lime feature strongly on the nose. It’s difficult to know if the wine is in its mid term dip and whether or not it will soften the mid palate firmness. Try another one next year or more. (486 views)
Tasted by CamWheeler on 5/31/2015 & rated 90 points: Hunter Valley Roadtrip 2015: Popcorn, lemon, lime and apple. Nicely balanced, good acidity and the fruit is youthful and bright. Will develop well over the next 10 years. (2158 views)
Tasted by graemeg on 1/17/2015: Hunter Valley - 6 Cellar Doors (Hunter Valley): {screwcap, 10.9%, A$27} A selection off the Lovedale vineyard. Smoky and citric. Juicy flavours in the hunter semillon style, be they rather closed; light/medium-bodied, medium-length dry finish. A cut above Elizabeth, so about where its priced. Decent wine with a few years in front of it. (2472 views)
Tasted by chatters on 9/13/2014: Wine-Ark boys on tour - Hunter Valley 2014 - Day 2 (Hunter Valley): Low intensity aromas of green apples…in the mouth juicy apples, it's quite short but pleasant enough (2068 views)
