Oak used. Needed a couple minutes to open but then was ready to go. Probably peaking right now. Really a nice middle ground between Alsace and Burgundy (Alsacian grape notes and Burgundian winemaking). Surprising amount of sediment/material at the bottom of the bottle. Would jump on opportunity to try again (different vintages, or different products from same producer). Pale gold. Light peach and bruised peach aromas. Medium acid medium bitterness, 13.5% alcohol with some mid palate weight. Interesting style. Installé depuis peu à Concoeur il exploite un vignoble familial minuscule mais fort bien situé qu'il s'attache à travailler avec la displine d'un beau cru de la Côte. En 2005 il a produit 4.000 bouteilles vraiment remarquable de ce vin séveux et gourmand qui ne demande qu'à prendre le chemin de votre cave...

Beaune 1er cru "Les Tuvilains" 2005 .....17€
Hautes Côtes de Nuits 2005 : Robe sombre aux reflets rubis. Nez très distingué qui exhale avec retenue le cassis mûr,le sureau et une subtile touche fumée sur un boisé discret du meilleur effet.Comme il se doit la bouche est droite, très pure et possède de beaux tanins fins sur un corps svelte et une trame à maturité croquante idéale. La longueur positionne le cru dans une catégorie largement supérieure à son pedigree. Un vrai grand Haute Côte de Nuits qui se vend aux abords de 8 euros.
Le HCN 2006 en cours d'élevage est très prometteur avec sa robe rubis clair et son nez richement marqué par les fruits rouges. La bouche est opulente avec une trame tannique tout en finesse.
Le Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Blanc 2009: 23 ares de pinots blancs ont donné pour la première fois en 2009, 1800 bouteilles de cette cuvée fraîche et gourmande qui plaque à la nature de l'année par ses accents souples et sa très belle texture. J'aime la couleur jaune à reflets verts, le nez floral et la bouche visqueuse à matière ample. Un vin équilibré et long. Bien ++
Le Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Rouge « Les Herbues »: Une vigne basse - cas assez rare en Hautes Côtes de Nuits - mesurant 1.52 ha et qui est sise sur les communes de Concoeur et Vilars Fontaine. Son profil est d'emblée séduisant par sa sombre couleur et ses reflets rubis profonds. Les senteurs s'emballent au nez sur des accents de mûre, de fine torréfaction et de griotte sauvage et introduisant une bouche svelte et racée qui évoque les "Vosne" juste au dessous. Quel vin mes amis! Tant par sa richesse que par son accessibilité il revêt la tenue d'un village bien né et sa longueur savoureuse en offre plus encore. Un très grand Hautes Côtes! Excellent.
Le Bourgognes Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Rouge « Le Clos Duc »: Une vieille vigne d'un demi hectare exposée sud donne ici l'expression des Hautes Côtes de Nuits la plus parfaite que je connaisse. Couleur sombre, tension interne remarquable, tanins abondants et très fins et cette touche inimitable qui signe les beaux terroirs et qui s'exprime sur une petite salinité de façade et une granularité de matière qui happe le palais longuement. Je ne saurais trop vous recommander cette petite perle! Excellent.

Morey-Saint-Denis « Le Village »: Trois pièces achetées en raisin et provenant d'une parcelle "village" située au coeur de Morey. La robe profonde se pare de reflets pourpres alors que le nez assez discret de prime abord évolue vers des notes épicées très racées à l'aération puis "bifurque" ensuite sur des effluves d'orange sanguine très insinuantes. La matière est concentrée, le grain très fin et l'élevage partiel en bois neuf parfaitement intégré. Un village encore une fois splendide. Très bien +.
Morey-Saint-Denis Premier Cru « Les Charrières »: Situé dans une zone en faible déclivité, solaire et placée juste sous le glorieux Clos de la Roche entre le Clos des Ormes et les Faconnières. Les vins qui en sont issus offrent toujours des sensations mûres à délicatesse affirmée. C'est encore le cas ici avec ce vin qui exprime avec douceur des arômes de fruits noirs finement confits sur un grain tannique soyeux. La robe rubis moyen se met au diapason de cette expression "côtière" délicate qui n'en possède pas moins une finale aérienne et rémanente. Très bien +
Chambolle-Musigny « Les Echézeaux »: Un joli village exposé au levant qui repose sur une couche argilo-calcaire de premier choix et qui donne ici un vin très fin, ample et soyeux. J'avoue que ce style de dentelle m'évoque nettement par son croquant sus jacent la "patte" des vins de la maison Groffier. Nicolas et Hervé jouent dans ce registre nerveux, svelte et raffiné qui sied si bien à ces vins de Côte de Nuits. Sans cette tension centrale, ils n'auraient pas cet éclat. Celui là brille comme le rubis de son étiquette! Excellent +.
Nuits-Saint-Georges « La Petite Charmotte »: J'avais un peu peur derrière le précédent, tant sa forme était idéale. Mais encore une fois ce vin de niveau village m'a impressionné. Plus dense, plus carré et plus concentré encore, il est absolument étonnant de sève et de classe. Situé en pied de coteau sur des terres pierreuses il y puise une vraie nature minérale en même temps que des arômes un peu sauvages qui se combinent au bâton de réglisse et à la prune. Grain fin, boisé cacaoté discret. Le choc. Un village Hors Classe. Je crois que c'est la première fois que cela m'arrive!
Beaune Premier Cru « Les Tuvilains »: C'est une belle parcelle de près de 60 ares, située en pied de coteau dans un secteur solaire et argileux, elle donne toujours des crus francs et bouquetés qui exhalte la variétalité du pinot noir en même temps que ce caractère Beaune si séducteur et gourmand. Robe sombre, nez de pivoine et de cerise griotte, tension affirmée pour un vin encore un peu massif qu'il va falloir attendre quelques années mais qui a le potentiel pour largement s'affiner. Très bien +

Burgundy - The province of eastern France, famous for its red wines produced from Pinot Noir and its whites produced from Chardonnay. (Small of amounts of Gamay and Aligoté are still grown, although these have to be labeled differently.) The most famous part of the region is known as the Cote d'Or (the Golden Slope). It is divided into the Cote de Beaune, south of the town of Beaune (famous principally for its whites), and the Cote de Nuits, North of Beaune (home of the most famous reds). In addition, the Cote Chalonnaise and the Maconnais are important wine growing regions, although historically a clear level (or more) below the Cote d'Or. Also included by some are the regions of Chablis and Auxerrois, farther north.
