Raisin and red fruit. Dark (100 views) | | Tasted by KimberJ on 2/1/2023 & rated 91 points: great value Costco (101 views) | | Tasted by Bax62 on 11/7/2017 & rated 87 points: Dark maroon color with purplish rim. Blackberry nose. On thé palate, briary, still some tannins, and new oak on the finish. (1343 views) | | Tasted by Praxis on 12/25/2016 & rated 88 points: Reddish in appearance with a watery edge with a dark fruity nose with a faint oaky background. The flavour profile is quite flavorful with a rich dark fruit core, medium weight, ample oak and quite lively with a slight watery, diluted edge toward the finish. This GSM is quite rich yet tight upon opening, however by the third day the wine completely opened up to become much larger and more balanced, heavier and well defined. A very good wine for the price. (2607 views) | | Tasted by Bax62 on 12/19/2016 & rated 87 points: Great value GSM. Nice balance of fruit and oak. Moderately long finish. (1874 views) | | Tasted by brooklynJ&O on 1/3/2016 & rated 83 points: those southern french wines have too much of a candied taste. starts with some mustiness. this will be better night 2 but you have to like cote du rhones to like this. (2567 views) | | Tasted by Zed57 on 8/28/2015 & rated 99 points: what a bargain (2716 views) | | Tasted by Zed57 on 8/4/2015 & rated 90 points: fresh and pure with a surprising complexity. Mineral and cherry. Easy to drink (1298 views) | | Tasted by srh on 8/4/2015: N: Ripe, complex in that LOTS of different aromas: Dk berries (black? blue?), some choc with herbaceous undertones.
P: Med body; To the aromas add some dustiness, perhaps wet stones. Long, albeit somewhat faint finish. EXCELLENT acidity, & could well improve/gain richness over the next 12-18 mos. (948 views) | | Tasted by Buck naked on 4/24/2015 & rated 88 points: Very good GSM. (1560 views) | | Tasted by MicklethePickle on 4/19/2015 & rated 86 points: Impressive deep purple-ruby. Thick legs. Nose is tight and only in small doses does it give up hints of purple fruits and violets. Big wine in the mouth, earthy, tannic, and quite rugged and rustic. And yet it has been open for nearly a day! There is plenty to like in this wine for $7.99, but give it time to open and pair it with a big, juicy steak. 4-12-14-6: 86/100. (1409 views) | | Tasted by eclayton99 on 1/19/2015 & rated 92 points: $7.97 at Costco. Better after open for awhile (1337 views) |
