Tasted by GTFreek on 8/4/2012: Past drinking time! Oh well. First taste was ok, maybe could have been something, but couldn't finish, definitely gross. (6519 views)
Tasted by ajm2573 on 12/12/2010 & rated 65 points: Not very drinkable. I expected it to taste better than it did...no aromas or discernible fruit. White table wine would have been better. (7747 views)
Tasted by fbautista on 8/25/2010: Con Andres Duarte para el Rizzotto (5139 views)
Tasted by Barry Notes on 4/19/2010 & rated 78 points: Older PG and pretty much drank as expected. Decent, a little tired and over the hill but still servicable. (8458 views)
Tasted by redfeet on 1/5/2010 & rated 88 points: Smooth drinking Grigio. HInts of pear. (5295 views)
Tasted by JDB4 on 2/8/2009 & rated 82 points: This wine is very overpriced for the flavor. It is okay. Good color. Light on the nose and palatte. (5990 views)
Tasted by Ombibulous on 12/12/2008 & rated 58 points: Not only past its prime. Just past drinkability too. Avoid (57.5). (6457 views)
Tasted by Jonathan.Lee on 3/3/2008 & rated 92 points: Excellent pinot grigio. Very fresh and crisp with nice balance of acidity. went great with the food. (cod fish and fresh shell fish).. very nice! (2594 views)
Tasted by brettlaurvick on 12/7/2007 & rated 82 points: Drank this bottle over the course of 3 days...Day 1 and Day 3. Day 3 was much better as it seemed to pick up some weight. I still think the Santa Margherita is expensive for what it is. (5560 views)
Tasted by brettlaurvick on 11/14/2007 & rated 80 points: Booooring! This used to be one of my wife and my favorite wines when we first started drinking wine and didn't know any better. I now have one bottle left and will either gift it or drink it in the near future to close the book on this overpriced white. (5742 views)
Tasted by ctunes on 8/28/2007 & rated 89 points: Really crisp...nice apples and pears. I think this is an especially good Pinot Grigio. Most of them leave me wanting something else. This is nice on the nose and quite satisfying as a sipping wine. (6122 views)
Tasted by markjahnke on 8/28/2007 & rated 84 points: I'm not a big pinot grigio fan, and I know that this wine is cliche, but it's our friend Joanne's favorite pinot grigio, so we buy it. I think that it is what it is....a mass produced pinot grigio, and I think for what you get, it is over priced. It's a crisp white with citrus, apples, pear, and a hint of lemon grass on the nose. It makes a good pairing with poultry. Again, not the best value, and I'd rather buy the Sanford. (6431 views)
Tasted by roberog on 8/13/2007 & rated 88 points: Simple, light, with a pleasant nose. A good sipping wine. (6104 views)
Tasted by behm0027 on 7/22/2007 & rated 88 points: Lemon, kiwi, honey, and wet stone, along with a touch of grapefruit, on the nose. Pear on the palate. Crisp, but not overly acidic...enough to pair well with food. Light to medium bodied. Enjoyable, but low QPR. (6350 views)
Tasted by the godfather on 7/7/2007 & rated 88 points: light in color, easy to drink, fruity and very fresh tasting. (6482 views)
Tasted by JOsgood on 7/6/2007 & rated 85 points: You see this wine everywhere. Easy drinking wine that is largely unremarkable. Zesty tasting with taste of light fruit and plenty of acid. The marketing machine is in high gear on this one so that cost is factored into each bottle. Not worth the price although fine if someone else is paying. (6337 views)
Tasted by djenningsoh on 6/26/2007 & rated 88 points: My first Pinot Grigio. Very light pear in color. Smell and taste of green apple and citrus. Crisp and clean. Moderate tangy acidity. Time to go drink more with my citrus spiced grilled salmon. Should go quite nicely. Not a Wow. But ok. Think I still prefer a nice chard for my white...a little more complexity. (6463 views)
Tasted by behm0027 on 4/28/2007 & rated 88 points: Closed nose...aromas of lemon, pear, and grass. Caramel, oak, and subtle fruit on the palate. Nice acidity. Enjoyable PG, but a poor value at $16-$20/bottle. (6837 views)
Tasted by tommyvernieri on 4/14/2007 & rated 79 points: There just wasn't enough here for me. It was very light. (6560 views)
Tasted by last chance on 4/6/2007 & rated 79 points: Nose of apples and citrus. Flavors were very light, but consistent with the nose. A lot of acidity in this wine. It did work nicely with pepperjack cheese, and the spices actually brought some of the very light fruit flavors forward just a bit. This was an average wine that is not a good value at $18. But, I'm also dissapointed by Pinot Grigio more often than not, so maybe it's just my preferences. (6863 views)
Tasted by Jester on 3/22/2007 & rated 81 points: Once Upon a Vine XIII - New Orleans, LA by Martin Wine Cellar (Pavillion of Two Sisters): Admit it, the only people who actually like this wine are newbies to the wine world who have only been drinking or collecting wine for all of about a month. Even so, I have no idea how people can give this wine the 94 or 95 points that I have seen in some Cellartracker reviews, unless they either accidentally typed in a "9" instead of an"8" or "7" or they burnt all of their taste buds off with a hot piece of pizza. This is just overhyped swill that doesn't remotely do justice to what Pinot Grigio can be when its made by a quality producer. The color is decent, but thats where mediocrity ends and viticultural tragedy begins. This simply tastes like dirty well-water with a touch of lemon. The acidity is off balance, there is a bitter green flavor that reminds me of raw, unripe asparagus, and the only good thing that can be said about the finish is that it is mercifully short, a blessing in disguise. This wine is so angular and unbalanced that its like you've got a mouth full of glass shards and citric acid. This is going to sound strange to many people, but to me, the one thing that this tasted like more than anything else was the sour/bitter tasting glue that the orthodontist used to put on my braces years and years ago. I've seen this wine selling in stores at prices anywhere between $16 and $45, and truth be told, it isn't even worth half of the lower end. Steer yourself far away from this drivel at all costs. Sure, they have great marketing/advertising, which is why they sell so much to the new, or inexperienced, wine drinkers............but if they focused more of their money and efforts on winemaking then maybe they would have a worthwhile product to promote.  Tasted by buddy22 on 2/25/2007 & rated 88 points: Very good, but very overpriced. (5311 views)
Tasted by ews3 on 2/3/2007: no formal note, drank in social setting -- good quality, sharp acidity (5283 views)
Tasted by ColinR on 1/2/2007 & rated 87 points: Straw yellow; pears, green apples, honey; citrusy, minerally, slightly oily, light-medium body, elegant, crisp acidity, nice finish.
Elegant, crisp and clean but not as fruity as I would have liked. Decent with chicken. (5862 views)
Tasted by hutch on 7/16/2006 & rated 78 points: Light straw color. Green apples on the nose. Super acidic, to the point where I don't know how you could drink this by itself. No roundness whatsoever. A super angular, bright wine that feels as if it's rubbing your enamal off. I don't see the draw on this wine. (5646 views)
