Tasted by John on 4/15/2009 & rated 81 points: a nice very lightly oaked chard. decent QPR (3104 views)
Tasted by cgrimes on 5/18/2008 & rated 85 points: Golden yellow color. Drank after the Thibert Macon-Fuisee. More fruity (ripe apples, some tropical elements) and oaky with butterscotch on the finish. Less acidity as would be expected. Bigger mouthfeel. Not my favorite style but not a bad wine for the price. (3083 views)
Tasted by Maverick on 6/7/2007 & rated 80 points: Good value but got a little heavy towards the end--syrup and sticky. Medium body and some oak and just a cheap Chard. It's almost like they tried to make more out of the wine that what can support it. Pull back on trying to add structure and complexity and focus on a light crisp chard--this seems to fall somewhere in between and loses it identity--but hey, it pretty cheap so I guess I'm asking for a little bit too much. (3569 views)
Tasted by underwds on 4/15/2007 & rated 82 points: Surprising amount of melon for a chardonnay. Still, fairly refreshing and not overly-oaked. Fine for a sub-$10 bottle of wine. (3682 views)
Tasted by thevandelindes on 4/9/2007 & rated 75 points: Terrible and out of characteristic for the varietal, like everything I've had from Bogle. Avoid it, there's so much more to enjoy. (1978 views)
Tasted by thevandelindes on 4/9/2007 & rated 50 points: Poured it down the sink based on my first bottle. (3885 views)
Tasted by pfruge on 3/26/2007 & rated 84 points: Nothing notable. (1877 views)
Tasted by stranman on 3/7/2007 & rated 80 points: Good everyday wine. Nothing particularly notable. At under $10 a good value. (2054 views)
Tasted by StevenBerman on 2/10/2007 & rated 83 points: At its sales price it is fine, but certainly not worth much more. Moderate amount of oak and some citrus. Would drink again at $8-10, but not more than that. (2045 views)
Tasted by sava on 11/25/2006: A reasonably priced chard that hasn't been beaten to death with oak (yay). Not much on the nose, but taste was fairly lush and cremy without being overbearing--lots of melon. (2472 views)
Tasted by Maverick on 10/16/2006 & rated 86 points: PRetty darn good for this low priced Chard. Light and clean, medium body with a touch of oak. (2501 views)

The Chardonnay Grape

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
