| Tasted by Neecies on 9/18/2022: Bill's. The American oak jumped out but even then I didn't go straight to Australia because of the eucalyptus note among the tertiary berry fruits and iron. Always been a favorite Aussie, and it's notable that it always called itself syrah, not shiraz. (438 views) |
| Tasted by David J Cooper on 9/18/2022 & rated 92 points: Clear medium red some age is apparent. The dill is strong in this one, not lifted but very spicy dill notes, behind that is a bit of cassis and menthol. A wee bit thinner than one would expect in the mouth. Not the richness of a previous bottle.
Really good old wine though. (482 views) |

| Tasted by Neecies on 7/27/2017 & rated 93 points: Had a history with this long ago, and tasting it again was a reunion with an old friend. Jammy blue fruit on nose and palate, compellingly rich and round with standout notes of boysenberry and blood. Excellent. (1565 views) |
| Tasted by David J Cooper on 7/20/2017 & rated 93 points: Light medium red, clear edges. Black pepper, cooked meat, blood, cherry and a hint of anise. Delicious meaty cherry flavours with a pepper note on the finish. A long dry tannic finish. Not a hint of over acidification.
I loved this one. (1565 views) |
