Tasted by NickA on 10/26/2019 & rated 89 points: Lovely expression of Zinfandel - cherry, rolling tobacco and rich American oak on the nose, herbs, pepper and tangy fruit on the palate. Hot, but not overly so. Decent length and freshness. (1561 views)
Tasted by Vin du Navarre on 10/11/2018 & rated 80 points: Really enjoyed this smooth full bodied wine. (1925 views)
Tasted by Too much practice. on 5/16/2018 & rated 87 points: Fantastic drinking wine. Soft fruit, no tannins, and absolutely delicious. A work of genius. Such a great ‘movie bottle’. Feels like a much greater treat than £10. (2505 views)
Tasted by Too much practice. on 4/13/2018 & rated 85 points: Nice blend of sweet and sour cherry. £10 about right. Not wildly complex, but brilliantly executed. No oak. (2516 views)
Tasted by CalimerosDad on 2/25/2018 & rated 88 points: Schöner fruchtbetonter Wein, ausgewogen, lecker! (2552 views)
Tasted by Too much practice. on 11/21/2017 & rated 88 points: Followed a Rioja and and Rivera and aced them. Soft, fruit, oak: delightful crowd pleaser.
Need to retests as it really excited me. (1843 views)
Tasted by Cancan12 on 11/9/2017 & rated 80 points: A little heavy on the vanilla and licorice for me. Would be better if paired with chocolate or dessert. Decent Zin. (1103 views)
Tasted by chatters on 10/23/2017: Born in the USA (The Great Hall, One Great George Street, Westminster): Yeah, everything I'd expect on the nose - plummy, spicy, vanilla and touches of blackcurrant And so it proves on the palate. Rather pleasant and a good go to Zin. (1215 views)
Tasted by TheBoojum on 6/23/2017 & rated 80 points: Expectation : A little bit special
4.5*
Very enjoyable, very good, but somehow lacking that special something (1069 views)
Tasted by Baron Slick on 2/9/2017 & rated 87 points: Plums and vanilla on the nose. A hint roasted. Possesses enough stuffing in the mouth to back the root beer, briar, and jam flavors. It grows on you. (1171 views)

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

California

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
