Nice value for a very good wine. Classy, well balanced, not too much over the top funk but just enough to let you know it's WW. (755 views) | | Tasted by rwpeter on 2/24/2024 & rated 92 points: For the price what a great wine. I do get a hint of funk but also dark fruit. Stone. And this is young. Should age for another few years. (486 views) | | Tasted by ChrisinCowiche on 12/25/2023 & rated 92 points: Big fruit, rocks umami, nice spicy finish. Very nice and will improve for another 10+ years (720 views) | | Tasted by Mallards on 12/8/2023 & rated 95 points: Elegant, fruity, pleasure of a Syrah. While this is a Rocks District Syrah, it does NOT have the typical funk to it. Great nose, fruity and floral hint hints of pepper and violet. This is an A+ wine that we will glad increase our allocation of it. (693 views) | | Tasted by jjhsom on 9/13/2022 & rated 95 points: Rich, age worthy. (687 views) | | Tasted by spinnin_and_sippin on 8/28/2022 & rated 94 points: Agree with my prior note. Concentrated but doesn’t weigh you down. Iron, reduction, black fruit. (1646 views) | | Tasted by nisid on 8/10/2022 & rated 95 points: Savory. Complex. Beautiful. (1139 views) | | Tasted by spinnin_and_sippin on 7/4/2022 & rated 94 points: Steak, smoke, blackberry jam.
Clean, concentrated but not overextracted.
If you go to Walla Walla, this is the wine that everyone says “oh yeah, I love their northern blend”. So I guess you could call this the winemakers’ wine. (1186 views) | | Tasted by Eric on 5/13/2022: My first trip to Walla Walla; 5/12/2022-5/14/2022 (Walla Walla, Washington): 95% Syrah and 5% Viognier. Knockout nose, smoky, and floral. Mmm, sultry palate, nice texture, a really black and brooding expression of Syrah. I really enjoyed this. (2280 views) |

Syrah BlendThe 2018 is 40% Merlot and 60% Syrah.USAAmerican wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.Oregon Oregon Wine, Oregon Wineries (Oregon Wine Board) |
