(975 views) | | Tasted by Seth Rosenberg on 5/28/2019 & rated 89 points: Nice to have some Riesling - pretty nose of classic Austrian Riesling: bright orchard fruits, shimmering, good minerality and some florals, some honey as well. The palate starts off nice and similar to the nose, but the honey and richness keep coming on and the wine gets a bit heavy and thick. Definitely the vintage. Some similarities to a Hirtzberger but those wines usually have a burning energy underneath that keep them more lively. Good but just that. Nose - 5/6, Palate - 4.5/6, Finish - 4/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1/2 = 14.5/20. The drinking window of these super-rieslings is either very long or I never had one in a mature state... (2672 views) | | Tasted by fraundor on 12/25/2015 & rated 94 points: - Yellow gold color. (2587 views) | | Tasted by MQuentel@web.de on 10/14/2014 & rated 94 points: Amazing wine. A "Riesling Bull", thick, very rich but with a fascinating spectrum of flavours and a surprising freshness. Many different yellow and exotic fruits; high level of minerality. This wine shines in a dark night. Nearly no boytritis, no pertrol, again very rich but also precise; quite good acidity. Still very young and years to go. (2237 views) | | Tasted by Eric Becker on 5/11/2013 & rated 90 points: in an awkward phase; quite reticent on the nose: no fruits, rather floral; in the mouth very powerful, but quite balanced; the 14 ABV are in check with the moderate, but sufficient acidity; no petrol notes, therefore this seems to be aging well. But ultimately this may be lacking aromatic interest. 90+? Baked pears, pepper and spices on the nose. Creamy and concentrated on the palate. Rich, but extremely precise. Quince, pears upfront with minerals and asparagus on the back end. Complex, engaging and extremely long (I can clearly taste it a couple of minutes after the last sip). Brilliant tonight and probably very special in 10+ years.
