Tasted by NKan on 12/28/2022 & rated 91 points: Much more sugar than I’d have liked. Great with cheese. (489 views)
Tasted by RED AND BLACK on 3/10/2022 & rated 91 points: Well made Riesling from Alsace, although a little too thin. So far I prefer the German version (653 views)
Tasted by psi on 1/7/2022 & rated 94 points: Maturing faster than Windsbuhl, but still great with some years to go. (490 views)
Tasted by Pepys on 3/13/2021 flawed bottle: Not for the first time from my case bought 10+ years ago and well stored since, this bottle was oxidised and dead. Very disappointing. Premox in ZH wines from this period does not seem to be uncommon. I’ll certainly not be buying any more ZH sight unseen. (1000 views)
Tasted by Ltim BE on 3/11/2021 & rated 95 points: Absolutely great today ! Indice 3 but sugars are well integrated now. (1016 views)
Tasted by psi on 2/6/2021 & rated 94 points: Another strong showing, but this is not lasting for forever... (518 views)
Tasted by spendergast on 7/1/2020 & rated 95 points: This wine continues to drink well and pairs very nicely with spice food, in my case spice grilled scallops. Notes of honeysuckle, pear, apricot. (838 views)
Tasted by psi on 4/9/2020 & rated 94 points: Another great showing from this wine. (696 views)
Tasted by psi on 2/23/2020 & rated 93 points: Beautifully crafted with no signs of fatigue (711 views)
Tasted by psi on 7/20/2019 & rated 94 points: There is some bottle variation. This was one of the better. No signs of fatigue, mineral, tightly wound. Great wine (689 views)
Tasted by psi on 5/25/2019 & rated 92 points: Typical zh style with some residual sweetness that is well integrated (593 views)
Tasted by psi on 5/13/2018 & rated 92 points: Fine, but not magic. Have had better bottles of this fine Riesling. Lacking some zip and lip smacking juiciness (764 views)
Tasted by NKan on 10/30/2016 & rated 95 points: Wonderful depth when served very cold 4 or 5 degrees C. Dry but a lot of fruit making it appear with sugar. My favourite wine with cheese. A great nose. Plum and apricot in the mouth with a great finish. Well paired with oriental food too. (1823 views)
Tasted by psi on 9/15/2016 & rated 94 points: Wonderful riesling with many years ahead of it. Still quite vibrant. (1623 views)
Tasted by psi on 4/30/2016 & rated 93 points: Consistent impression (1751 views)
Tasted by psi on 9/26/2015 & rated 94 points: Always a pleasure. But surprisingly this was much more dull on day 2. So don't leave until the next day. (2012 views)
Tasted by psi on 12/13/2014 & rated 94 points: I really like this wine. The nose displayed white flowers, white peach, crushed white stone, salty sea breeze and a hint of petroleum. Complete, complex, layered and rich, balanced palate. A mix of barely noticeable sweetness, sophisticated minerality, wonderful acidity with notes of white peach, apples, iodine, lemon and salt on the finish. Wonderful now, but can be cellared for a decade or two. (2628 views)
Tasted by Milos on 11/8/2014 & rated 93 points: Lemon, apricot, peach, honey melon, very light touch of petrol; viscous palate with great acidity and mineral notes. There is fruit sweetness , but the wine is just off dry; very nice package. Time to drink now. (1697 views)
Tasted by psi on 4/26/2014 & rated 93 points: White flowers, white peach, crushed white stone, salty sea breeze and a hint of petroleum. Complete, complex, layered and rich, balanced palate. A mix of barely noticeable sweetness, vivid acidity and minerality. A candidate for long term cellaring. (2218 views)
Tasted by mwanasheria on 3/23/2014 & rated 92 points: Quite a bit of residual sweetness, tropical fruit, white peach, citrus. Long. (2131 views)
Tasted by Highlander on 11/21/2013: Elegant.....Not dry but much more so than the typical Zind-Humbrecht. Almost tastes like it came from the other side (German). Apple and citrus fruits on the nose and early palate. Shorter finish than normal, but I suspect this is due to the (relative) dryness. I would have missed this on a double blind, mistaking it for an Austrian or German Riesling. Very well make however. You could serve this with many dishes....or just sip it. (2153 views)
Tasted by Wine_lvr on 10/23/2013 & rated 93 points: Tasted blind: Nose of a typical riesling. Quite salty and mineralic in the taste. Very balanced and elegant. Did not expect an Alsace Riesling as this was on the lighter side. Similar to a German "Spätlese" but with more mineralic notes. Drink now - 2022 (1591 views)
Tasted by spendergast on 9/30/2013 & rated 96 points: A delicious dry Riesling with nice balance and acidity - perfect with spicy Asian fare. (1554 views)
Tasted by robertek on 12/23/2012 & rated 92 points: Good solid Alsace Riesling that will keep for many years but is great to drink now. (2099 views)
