 Tasted by AndrewSGHall on 6/4/2006: Very nice. Strawberry notes, slight oily feel. Good acids with a touch of ripe sweetness in the middle. Undertones of earthiness and piment. Very enjoyable and a great starting wine for the evening with mixture of nibbles like olives and cheeses. (2223 views)
 Tasted by AndrewSGHall on 7/29/2003: Excellent. Dried fruit with suprising sweetness. Slighty oily on the palate, hints of floral. Slight aromatics on the finish. Nicely balanced and good drinking. Absolutely perfect w/ spicy, fatty Italian dried sausages. (2494 views)

Bonny Doon Vineyard

Bonny Doon was sold in early 2020 to "WarRoom", a wine production and marketing entity formed in 2018. Per a January 2020 Decanter article - https://www.decanter.com/wine-news/californias-bonny-doon-sold-430550/ - "Graham will retain creative control of Bonny Doon’s wines, but production will change from 35,000 cases of 15 different wines annually to just four wines: the flagship red Rhône blend Le Cigare Volant; Le Cigare Blanc (based on Vermentino); Vin Gris de Cigare (a Rhône varietal rosé); and a 100% Picpoul."

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628.
