Tasted by AudunG on 2/17/2024 & rated 90 points: Delicious developed Sangiovese aromas. Very tannic, but there is also enough fruit left to justify several more years in the cellar. (358 views)

Tasted by nigelb on 5/15/2022 & rated 91 points: Fully mature. Sweet and gentle yet still with power. Definitely a food wine. Had macaroni cheese - excellent match! decant and allows to breathe for at least 2 hours. (965 views)

| Tasted by platpeeps on 10/12/2021 & rated 86 points: Distinctive flavours of kirsch cherry supplemented with prunes and plums. The brown rim revealed a mellow wine which is still vibrant and tannic. The finish is still long and harmonious and the wine despite its age is still holding up well.

Tasted by NickA on 9/30/2021 & rated 92 points: Tuscan WIMPS 2021 (La Trompette): An excellent stand-in for the expired Biondi-Santi. Truffley and sweetly herbal, very deep with black fruit, good acidity and lots of life left. (1492 views)
Tasted by LWI on 1/17/2021 & rated 92 points: Quite tannic, and a bit of a mouthful, some complexity, rustic and earthy. Splendid QPR (1222 views)
Tasted by dagij on 1/2/2021 & rated 87 points: For those in doubt that Chiantis can keep for more than 10 years, this is the wine to prove them wrong. Evolved color with amber tones, and only hints of ruby at the core. Fascinating nose of raspberries, complemented with tone of menthol and citrusy acidity. Medium to full bodied attack, fine fruit in the vein of raspberries and red cherries, combined with a cool mentholated tone. Fresh and dry aftertaste with raspberries dominating over somewhat dry tannins. The fruit balances the high alcohol (14,5) perfectly. After 14 years of age, this is clearly on the way down, but it will still give drinking pleasure for at least five more years. (1059 views)
Tasted by Grape_ape on 12/17/2020 & rated 92 points: This was rocking tonight. Drinking more like a nicely aged Brunello to me. Sour cherry, earth, leather, dried leaves. In a really nice spot right now. (766 views)

Tasted by dagij on 3/27/2020 & rated 88 points: Well, what do expect from a 14 years old Sangiovese? This will surely surprise you, but do not expect to meet a revelation. Deep ruby core with amber tones at the rim. Wonderful nose dominated by sour cherries, some dry wood, and mineral tones (dust and iron!). A bit alcohol bites as the wine heats up in the glass. Full bodied, silky attack, lots of sour cherry fruit, then the tannins kicks in creating a very dry impression. The aftertaste is dominated by sour cherries with very high acidity gining an almost citrusy impression. Long, dry, and a bit alcoholic aftertaste. An impressive wine that should have been drunk earlier when the fruit was more prominent. Drink up, or keep for five years to get even more tertiary (raisiney) tones. (1023 views)

Tasted by Anders Danielsen Lie on 1/9/2019 & rated 90 points: Dyp rød. Frisk duft av kirsebær, regnvær, jord, litt røyk, mynte, litt tobakk og lær. Nydelig balansert på smak, topp syre og passelig vekt innover. En flott, gammeldags chianti (1441 views)

Tasted by cweiss on 5/21/2018: My last bottle, and of course the best. Rich deep fruit on the dark end of the spectrum, bright with good acid balance. Drinking well but I'm sure will do so for years. (1629 views)
