Medelgardiner. Fräsch mix av röda och blå bär. Väldans trevligt. Dessutom aningen läder och lite stenkross. Sötfruktig smak, medelsyra, viss stenighet. Märkbara men välpolerade tanniner. Mycket piggt och i god form trots kombon många år och liten prislapp. (106 views) | | Tasted by PSPatrick on 3/25/2022 & rated 87 points: G2: Wines from Languedoc and Roussillon with some age (Skype): Wine 3 of 6. A blend of 40% Syrah, 30% Mourvedre and 30% Grenache. Pleasant, aromatic nose. Good, ripe, sweet fruit, lightly herbal, charred wood, spice notes and light liquorice, with medium acidity, round, partly resolved tannin, and good length. The broad and lightly sweetish finish suggest that the wine might have four of five grams of residual sugar. Not much complexity, and not much character either, but the wine has good fruit, and is harmonious overall. (618 views) | | Tasted by PSPatrick on 5/8/2018 & rated 88 points: The nose seemed restrained, but was brooding underneath the surface, with floral notes, dark fruit, herbs, spices, black pepper, dust and stony notes. On the spicy palate, the wine showed dark flowers, dark fruit, dark cherry, some garrigue, black pepper and liquorice as well as some roasted notes and stony mineral notes, with medium-level acidity, medium to medium-plus tannin and good length. The solid, medium-bodied wine was quite balanced and grew on me over time. (1243 views) | | Tasted by nebre8 on 1/3/2016: Gorgeous, pleasant nose ,peaking right now (1716 views) | | Tasted by nebre8 on 6/4/2014 & rated 86 points: initial reaction is meh - dry, soft and mellow, rather tame, however, it rewards patience as more complexities develop over time - good bang for the buck but not an outstanding wine (2567 views) | | Tasted by up4wine on 2/1/2012 & rated 88 points: Same as previous bottle. (3700 views) | | Tasted by johnnyrichardson on 9/21/2011 & rated 85 points: A really good-value red from La Clape (Languedoc). Typical Syrah/Grenache/Mourvedre Southern French blend, but you'd find it hard to find much better at this price. A few years bottle age has helped this a lot. (2552 views) | | Tasted by Strikermax on 12/27/2010 & rated 88 points: Als voorgaande proefnotitie.... zonder het uitbundig. (3886 views) | | Tasted by up4wine on 11/22/2010 & rated 88 points: A fine Rhone blend. Plenty of fruit. The balance between peppery Syrah and higher acid of Grenache has been done very well. Very enjoyable with a good meal. (3824 views) | | Tasted by theoakkermans on 9/5/2010 & rated 91 points: Geen fruit maar kruiden, rundvlees, tabak in de neus. (3665 views) | | Tasted by nebre8 on 8/16/2010 & rated 90 points: Opened at the K&L store and it was really tight, mouth-puckeringly dry and acidic. Three hours later it was unrecognizable, blossoming into fruity smoothness, with immense depth and long finish. Beautifully balanced, well structured for the long haul. Prachtwijn! (2639 views) | | Tasted by Beegsy on 5/16/2010 & rated 84 points: Drinking this now -- just opened the bottle -- have to agree completely with earlier note on here that this wine starts off promising on the palate but ends with zero finish, nothing lingering. I am hoping after a few hours it will develop into something more. (2613 views) | | Tasted by Double-A on 11/24/2009 & rated 90 points: Aromatic, concentrated nose of blackberries, violets, and bacon. Slick fruit; warming with dry, youthful tannins; good, long finish. 4/5 (154 views) | | Tasted by ccnet on 11/11/2009 & rated 87 points: Nice typical French wine (3281 views) | | Tasted by NiklasW on 7/7/2009: Visit to La Clape (Narbonne, Languedoc); 7/7/2009-7/9/2009: Tasted at the chai. Quite a reticent nose, some blackberry, plums. On the palate this is soft and velvety, kind of dies off quickly, almost no finish at all. This is not the first time I've experienced this with this wine, although in an earlier vintage. Rather puzzling, how can the finish just finish without leaving anything on the palate? Didn't get any. (4182 views) | | Only displaying the 25 most recent notes - click to see all notes for this wine... |

| Gérard Bertrand Producer websiteRed Rhone Blend Read about the different grapes used to produce red and white Rhone wines On CellarTracker, Red Rhone Blend is the term for a wine consisting of two or more of the traditional 13 Southern Rhone grape varieties. Typically it's the Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre or Cinsault grapes, but can also contain the Muscardin, Counoise, Clairette, Bourboulenc, Picpoul, Roussanne, Terret Noir, Picardan or Vaccarese grapes.
A 'food' wine. Lacking pretension and intended for local consumption with local cuisine. Lacks the 'high' notes on a Bordeaux, more earthy and sharper so often a better partner to meat dishes with a sauce.
